The only reason I will miss living in Birmingham. They are so kind and they remember you when you are a frequent customer. Very nice people. My fav and only Chinese place.

The food is very good and they haven't raised their prices to a ridiculous amount. The Black Bean Chicken, Tofu w veggies and General Tso dishes are tasty. I always get my lunch orders with steamed rice. So good. Oh and the hot and sour soup is some of the best in the city.

Pretty great for simple strip mall Chinese. I think every Chinese restaurant has pretty much the same menu, and all the familiar dishes are there. I got the sesame chicken lunch special today. A two-meal portion of crispy chicken bathed in sweet and syrupy sauce was paired with pretty plain "fried" rice. I asked for it spicy, and while it had a dried pepper in it/ it wasn't spicy. The more successful dish was the double cooked pork. It was absolutely delicious! Slices of tender pork were velveteen in a rich brown sauce. Also delicious were a very generous portion of pan fried dumplings. Definitely a great take out neighborhood Chinese spot.

I love this place. But 3 weeks ago I ordered pork with broccoli. The rice was old. That's the first time that's happened to me. I've been eating here since they opened and that has never happened. I ordered about 6pm that night and they probably gave me old rice. That was really disappointing. Otherwise I am happy with this place.

China Moon is in a small strip of a drugstore, grocery store, and nail shop. Be careful in the parking lot because no one pays attention. Food is better than most fast food Chinese- less greasy. Good prices, fast, no complaints. Curry chicken is one of my favorites, and you generally can't go wrong with the broccoli chicken. Egg fu yung is quite good, but choose other than the shrimp. There is a place to sit and eat, but just grab and go...everybody does!

Great little shop for the staples.Black pepper chicken is fried little bits of chicken with onion zucchini and green chillis. Not really spicy, but really tasty. Not as sugary sweet as some other places which was nice.Chicken noodle soup was bussin. Makes me want to catch a cold so I can have it soothe me.

It has amazing food. Love coming here.

The fried rice is just plain yellow rice and it had a weird aftertaste. I ordered sesame chicken and it tasted weird. The cheese wontons were good and the eggrolls were okay. Too much for the quality of the food but I guess you’re paying for the quantity they give.

Without a doubt the worst “Chinese” in Birmingham. If you love unseasoned food, you’ll definitely find a home here. I recommend the water, they use it to rehydrate the shrimp.

The egg roll was good and not dripping with grease like others I've had elsewhere. I like to mix the duck sauce with a dab of Chinese mustard but I always forget how hot the mustard can be. I was disappointed in the wonton Soup which I didn't realize was Egg Drop with Wontons. Not a fan of Egg Drop soup and this one didn't have any flavor. The wontons were good though. The Roast Pork Egg Foo Young is very good. I liked the sauce. It didn't have the sweetness like others I've had. The Chicken w/Cashews, was loaded with chicken. It too had a good flavor.

Customer service could definitely be better. There is no translation needed for kindness. However the food somewhat makes up for it. I’ve only come here for others however their egg rolls are super good! (When fresh). Certain things could use a tad more flavor (vegetables). Portion sizes are decent as well. Pricing is debatable.

Only got an order of hot and sour soup which was decent, not exceptional. Staff was very friendly but the interior seemed a bit cluttered as a lot of take out restaurants with seating have been since Covid. Will update if I return.
