My wife and I tried The Fig Tree last night for the first time and it was very good. The chef has a flair for southern/cajun food and the menu shows it. I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra. The chicken was very good and the potatoes were good but the okra seems to be frozen and not fresh. Love this hidden gem of a restaurant, food was awesome, wait was great, drinks & fried green tomatoes were a good way to start the meal. Ambience provides an intimate dining experience, due to the size of the dining room, which I love. Appreciate the chef coming out to socialize for a minutes as well.
