This is the third time in my 8 years in Birmingham that I've visited this shop, same owner for Five Points Hot Dogs and Raymond's Five Points ( I live and work near this store). Experience is very, very bad all the time. I did not want to write a bad review, but I believe that everyone should know about this guy. All negative review about this place and its owner is completely true. Here is what I experienced during my visits-1. The owner is extremely rude and racist.2. The food is unhealthy (see inside his store, you will understand).3. The owner is greedy. He charged me more money when he understood I had an emergency.Never visit this store.

Have always passed this spot but never went in. Finally did and it was a decent hot dog. Pretty cheap hot dogs as well! The workers were nice and I got my food pretty quickly. Will defiantly be trying this again. Workers wore masks and gloves, also had sanitizer available, and spaced everything out to limit the customer's contact.

My wife knows how much I HATE to give a bad review. With so many reasons a visit might go bad, I don't usually prefer to rate a bad experience to be fair to the owner. However, my experience today suggests I need to rethink my experience. I have been visiting the same five restaurants since early April. Today, I decided I HAD to have a different meal. Hot dogs sounded great. So, a quick Google search nearby recommended this location. While I understand many eating places have had to adjust for COVID-19, Five Points Hot Dogs showed to be open until 3:00 pm. Luckily, it's 1:30, and I can make it. Pull into the parking lot at 1:40. I see the neon "Open" sign lit up. Look into the front window, and there is a gentleman sitting at the counter. Yes! I'm in. When I get out of my car, I realize the gentleman is not enjoying a delicious hot dog, but is actually writing into books. I wave to him, and motion, "Are you closed?" Immediately, he looks at me, nods his head, and "shoos" me away. I left, and bought two hot dogs from Sneaky Pete's. Thanks, Sneaky Pete's. I don't hope he goes under, but, if he's the owner, such is life. All I was hoping for was a nod that he had closed before his usual time. Will never try them out again. Check out all my other reviews. How many negatives can you find?

Very friendly staff, fast service, inexpensive, and tasty. You wouldn't call it gourmet but it's not trying to be- just a good place to drop in for a greasy burger or chili dog. Decent amount of seating and dedicated parking. Lots of regulars.
