Very fun place with good service and creative, Southern-inspired foods. Three of us ate there the last warm evening of Fall and all of us enjoyed our meals. Service was casual but prompt and friendly. Server was spot on with recommendations. I'd definitely go again.

I don’t complain until there is a problem! I ordered the Chicken Pesto Sandwich with the jalapeño fries. The chicken sandwich was fine and good but the fries were incorrect and cold. The Manager Brett tells me as a paying customer the he watched the fries come out, which in no way possible. He brings me a side of jalapeño sauce to put on the cold fries. Not only that, he offered to take my fries to the back and microwave them. First of all, I have never had microwave fries that turned out fresh. His attitude was not warming or professional. I will never recommend this place to anyone in the city of Birmingham due to Brett’s poor lack of customer service. The corporate office needs to investigate the actions of this establishment and the Health Department will be contacted on Monday for a thorough audit.

This was my second time stopping in on the way home from a football game. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. Highly recommend the Pimento Cheese Dip, the Pesto Chicken Club, and the Nashville Chicken!

Once again such a great meal and great service. I also like it when the manager stops by to check in. I had not one negative and that cosmopolitan was amazing. I look forward to going back! I had shrimp and grits and daughter had a sandwich.... All 5 stars. I am picky too!!Keep it up and again, thank you for circling the room Mr Manager.... I think that is important for many reasons.❤️

Food was delicious, as always but this time our server, Lanita knocked it out of the park! She was so friendly and prompt and we never had to ask for refills or anything! I think she is the best server we have ever had at SKB.

Great service and food - went on a recommendation - the food was outstanding - we had Shrimp and Grits(wife’s choice)and Chicken and Grits on Turnip Greens with a sweet hot sauce (my choice ) and ended our meal with a Blueberry cobbler cheesecake

In town for a concert, tried this because of location. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were chef's kiss. I had steak mac and cheese and it was excellent! Friends had the thyme lemon chicken and it was a hit as well! Told the wait would be 30-45 minutes and it was actually less. Food came out quickly, was fresh, hot and delicious. Our server Paresha was a doll!! Very attentive and accommodating. She aimed to please, all done with a smile. I would patronize them again!

Hostess obviously doesn't like white people made us wait 10 minutes maybe a 1/3 full food was ok not worth the money very small portions

Staff was very nice. Jalapeño fries were good. Burger was just like any other burger. My husband was disappointed with the shrimp in his dish. It was supposed to be blackened, but barely had any seasoning and the portion was kinda small for the price.

Three of us enjoyed some local favorites during dinner. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and fried whole okra for appetizers. Both were delicious and very flavorful. Entrees were the tastes of the south with a blend of shrimp, okra, Conecuh sausage, fresh corn, red onion and grape tomatoes in the Southern Stir Fry (beautiful and tasty dish), Ribeye Mac & Cheese that has sliced ribeye cooked to your liking and Gouda cheese in the Mac & Cheese (hits a craving and is so yummy), and then one had an appetizer as his meal called Cajun Angels which was Blackened bacon wrapped shrimp with New Orleans BBQ sauce. We all had side salads that were not that small. Two of us topped our dinner off with their Blueberry Cobbler Cheesecake, which was very creamy and superbly put together! It was a great experience!

Busy Saturday night. We had to wait for an hour. I received the text to make our way to the hostess table. I arrived and our table was already given away. The "rude" hostess kept saying I wasn't there between 5-10 minutes of the text. She texted at 5:40. The time was 5:49 when she told me that and I had already been standing there a few minutes. I tried to explain that when I arrived, they were engaged with our customers. She said, "You should have gotten our attention." She wanted me to be rude to others as well I guess. The "nice" hostess did try to solve the issue, although she didn't try too hard.

I went here for dinner on a Monday evening with a party of three. We had a special request for seating due to one of our party having recent ankle surgery ( they have a lot of high top tables and booths on raised platforms). We were promptly seated. Our server was awesome. He took our drink order right away, answered our questions about the menu and offered suggestions. Our food arrived quickly. The food was very good. The fried green tomato appetizer was tasty. All three of us had different salads as our main entree. They were large, very fresh and delicious. The server said all their salad dressings are made in house. I also had a bowl of gumbo that was good. We enjoyed dinner and the experience. Would definitely go back.

Huge portions of salad. Lettuce is crisp and crunchy you can tell its all fresh. I could not finish my salad. My server was nice.
