Exactly the comfort food we needed after evacuating from hurricane Ida. Thank you so much for feeding our souls.

I thought this was supposed to be some good Soul Food.. so disappointed i wasted my money on a bunch of no season boxed and can food?? Their definition of Soul Food is not the same as mines. I could have stayed at home and warmed up a can of green beans and put no season in it i could have made a box of instant mash potatoes at home and the dressing is your good ol' stovetop stuffing and they were out of cranberry sauce. I was so upset to find out this was not what i expected.

Not really all that good! The place is hyped up to me for nothing. My mom threw her entire meal away! Everything taste like canned goods; the vegetables anyway!

The food was delicious, but my waitress was not friendly at all. My stomach was hurting the next day though.

Highly disappointed! The mac & cheese has a very weird taste. The yams were really good and the baked chicken was just okay. This place lacks flavor and I probably won't be back anytime soon.

First time here at the Magic City Grill and I must say that the food was really good. Next time I'm in the area I'll make sure to stop by here again.

First of all! This food was so good I couldn’t even post a pic cuz it was devoured so quickly (sorry Not sorry??‍♀️), also the people were so nice throughout the restaurant. This is my first time visiting Magic City Grill, as I am a new resident of the city, this food just hugged me Welcome to Birmingham Thank Youuuuu ?

10/10, never any complaints with this spot. Appropriately priced and a nice relaxed environment. I always recommend it to out of town friends looking for a solid southern meal in Bham. No bs, just good food.

Home style food, and some place you can get veggies for lunch down town.

Not good. If you enjoy soul food from the can then you'll like this. If you like real home-cooked soul food this place will really disappoint you.

What a great hidden gem! Staff were all super friendly and welcoming, food was OUTSTANDING! Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, greens, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas...all excellent. Modest place on the outside, but clearly not in the kitchen. A great place for a home cooked meal, if we are ever back in town, we will be back!

This place sells cooked soul food. It is so good. Make you want to slap your mama.

Meal was fresh, seasoned and tasted great. That was my 1st time ever going and I wasn't disappointed. Will be going back soon

The services was excellent and the staff is super friendly. I laughed to find out they serve my favorite drink: red kool-aid! Don't let the look of the place discourage you the food is good.

Ate here this past Easter Sunday at lunch because needed something quick. This place is GREAT! You get served quickly and it is like home cooked food! I had ham, green beans and sweet potatoes for only $8.99. Highly recommend!
