Good drinks, great atmosphere.My two gripes here are the size of your mixed drinks and prices. I don't mind paying for a good drink. And the drinks at Mayawell are delicious. But could you possibly make them any smaller? Come on now. Love your place, but these may quite possibly be the smallest mixed drinks I have ever seen in my life.It is for this reason that I minimize my trips to Mayawell. It is just not good value for the money.

The vibe is a 10/10! I went on a Friday night, amazing drinks, the vibe was on point! Great variety of music. The drinks are intricate and special! Every time I visit, I'll be back! Oh and the food truck was soooo good! Love love love!!!!!

This is hands down my favorite bar in Birmingham. The atmosphere is great when it’s not too packed and the staff is also great! I had Taylor as my bartender each time I’ve been there and she is the best! Taylor is so pleasant and caters to your drink needs above and beyond your request!

The cocktails are heavy on Mexican spirits (Mayan, duh), well made, and quite tasty. Water stations are placed in strategic places throughout the outdoor spaces and the entire place feels safe and inviting. The crowd is dominated by suburban youngsters. I like the roof that allows for normal voice conversations and offers views of the nightly city. The downside of the roof is that there is no service and walking down to the bar to get a drink still comes with a tip of 20, 30, or 50%.

We went here after a drink and dinner at Lumbar for a friend’s birthday last Saturday. We had been here before about a year and a half ago and we were really excited to come back because last time was a good experience. Our first impression walking to the bar was one of our friends being barked at by the bartender saying “don’t order here” with no other instructions. There was a QR code on the bar top that just directed you to a PDF menu so eventually we figured out that they take your order at the table you sit at, but already that made us feel super uncomfortable and unwelcome. It’s very typical to order drinks at the bar when it’s just a bar. The food truck outside takes care of food service, so for anyone going now you know to just take a seat and a server will take your order. Other than that, we sat outside in the enclosed area which I want sure why they had the weathering plastic rolled down on a hot summer night. It allowed for no breeze and just made it super muggy. The drinks were tasty but we only stayed for one.
