For this review, I am looking at Naji's Pita Gourmet Restaurant! This place serves Lebanese food (and let me tell you, I haven't had such great food since I was actually in Lebanon!!). The location is in its own building on the side of a road and is a classic case of a cozy, delicious hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing, and the restaurant was very clean! Furthermore, this is a family-owned business, so it has all the character and personality one could wish for. Regarding service, the staff were quick and helpful, and they walked me through the menu and what I should order. For the food, I can easily say it is among the best Lebanese food in Birmingham! I ordered the Kafta Platter (which was recommended), the Hummus appetizer (which comes with pita), the Baklava (for desert), and Najjar coffee. Everything I ordered tasted amazing (as it reminded me of my time in Lebanon), had a reasonable cost, and complimented the overall meal experience. Due to the quality of my food, the service, and the location, I will 100% be coming back here again and recommend this as a stop for a high-quality lunch!
I've been eating food from here since I was a teenager. Things were great back then. I'm...not so sure about it now, though. The quality has been taking a dive as of late. I keep giving this place chance after chance, since I've been going here for a long time.Today, I had a steak shawarma. I bit into it, and I'm just...left feeling depressed. The steak tasted "off". It was crumbly, dry and devoid of life. Pickled turnips were a mushy mess. Why were they only at the top of the shawarma? Where's everything else? Where's my pickle? The oil the pita chips were cooked in tasted old! This wasn't even the only instance of the food being "off". Multiple times in a row makes me sad. It's been "hit or miss", with "miss" becoming too commonplace.

I’m from Arkansas traveling for my job, I’ve had many shawarmas over the years, but this was the absolute best one I’ve ever had. I’ve definitely found my new favorite restaurant while in town!
Ordered from here through Doordash. If you have any texture issues surrounding food, they have no problem accommodating. It truly meant the world to me. Don’t forget the baklava with your meal either! :)

Great fresh pita, food is better and a greater value than some other places nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, ramps, or inclines at the entrance. Front door vestibule is a bit tight.
A little off the beaten path, but this place is a hidden gem. The food was great, reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly and extremely attentive. I will be coming back soon. If you’re looking for Greek/Mediterranean, give them a try. You won’t regret it.

bad food all and all. the falafels were dry and seemed to be frozen. the gyro meat were not in slices as it should be but rather in crumbs. the soup was also bad and seemed to be microwaved.on a positive note: the salads were fresh. the packaged pita bread were fresh and good.

Ordered food for a baby shower. Staff were very accommodating and easy to deal with. We ordered 5 lbs of the chicken swarma , fabulous JouJous pita bread they make and dolmas which are stuffed grape leaves. The chicken was cooked just right . Everyone raved about the food. We will do this again.Vegetarian options: They have vegetable dishes alsoKid-friendliness: They’re accommodating for children. Not super stuffy place that doesn’t want kidsParking: Easy to get to, several places to park

Very bad quality food. The only good thing is you get fresh pita bread that is made on site.
