Probably the best chicken and okra I have ever had. Chicken fried to perfection not greasy nor salty. Perfectly seasoned and fries! The okra taste like sour cream and onion seasoning...absolutely amazing! This is a must try if you are in Bham! I come here all the time when I'm home!!!!

The food is absolutely amazing! I've eaten 5 items from the menu and will be back for more. If you're hungry and want some great tasting food, I'd recommend J&Rs in a heartbeat. A pleasant atmosphere, great music with grown ups is also a plus.

Hands down best chicken in the city. Me and my friends come here a lot for a after spot but last week was my first time trying their chicken and okra. Last night I took my husband so we could just hang out. We ended up getting food before we left. The chicken was hot and fresh as were the okra. We both loved it!!! Well definitely be going back
