The smoked chicken meal was stellar! The meat was moist and tender. The red and white sauce were complementary and delicious! The cheese grits were smooth and tasty. I was quite pleased and impressed!

I usually go here for lunch and the food is always cooked well and the staff is always super nice and welcoming. I usually get the wings with onion straws or fries. When I find what I like, I usually don't explore anything else because I am a creature of habit.

On a road trip back home to Texas, we discovered SAWS from the reviews. We’re bbq aficionados and boy howdy the place has great eats. If we had an extra day we’d go back! YUM.

Pulled pork was outstanding and I love that sweet red sauce. Mac and cheese is thinner than you get most places but the taste is amazing-more like what my momma would make. Baked beans were also outstanding as was the sweet tea. Love that old bbq shack vibe too.

Beware - if you place a pick-up order from here they will charge you a “pick-up gratuity” fee, and then expect a tip on top of that as well. I ordered a Pastrami Reuben, a side of fries, and a drink for pick-up. Supposedly getting the side and the drink together is cheaper, from what I was told. The sandwich is listed on the menu for $13.50, but I actually ended up paying $28 and some change (for one sandwich, an order of fries, and a 20oz sweet tea). Apparently the fries, drink, and pick-up fee comes out to around the same price as the sandwich. It was a good sandwich, but gosh dang. You got me once Saw’s, never again…Edited to reply to the response from owner: Maybe "expect" was not the right word to use for the tip, but there was certainly a screen on the point of sale system that popped up and asked me to select a tip amount. "Clearly presented" is pretty subjective - the takeout gratuity is a small line item that pops up right before you run the credit card. It was definitely not clear to me that I shouldn't tip based on that, considering that the tip screen popped up right after the gratuity charge was shown - and I did not know anything about the gratuity charge until I was being rung up. I know now.All that aside, I wasn't really worried about the $3 additional tip - it was more so the fact that the "cheaper option" for fries and a drink costs somewhere around $7 or $8. Don't get me wrong I love Saw's, and I worked in the service industry for over 20 years - I have no problem tipping well. I also understand that product prices have been higher recently. I was just shocked when I walked out after paying nearly $30 for a sandwich, fries, and a drink. I was expecting somewhere around $20 - but I was not expecting $30 for lunch after I ordered a $13.50 sandwich and added fries and a drink.

Pay attention! They tried to charge me extra for removing items from the burger. If it was once, okay accidents happen, but two separate times they did this! Ridiculous!I called them out on it both times and they acted like it was an accident even though they have it coded in their POS system. Go to any other location and they don’t do that.

There's nothing like a hole in the wall where strangers chitchat over good food. It's hard to make a bad selection since it's all good. The dining room is tight, tea glasses are huge and they make sure to get the orders correct and quick. Even in that tiny ki

Nice people and tasty food, we came to try the white sauce and it was really good. One thing is I think garlic fries would be better if it was like a garlic parm seasoning rather then a wet sauce. It makes the fries soggy.

OUR FAVORITE! We stop here and Dreamland every time we’re in the area. This spot is my husbands favorite for the white sauce that’s on the chicken. It’s truly delicious. The banana pudding is to die for.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is great for kids. There’s not a ton of room, but if they can sit and eat then it’s perfect.Parking: The restaurant is in a strip of multiple. There’s not a ton of parking right on the slab, and it’s on a busier road. It’s easy to get in and out of as soon as the light stops the traffic.

What kind of bbq place makes you pay extra for sauce? . Food is good, but what you get for the price you pay is not worth it. I don't think I will be returning.
