I have been ordering food from Shangri-la for years with no problem, no major issues----until today. Half way through my order the person taking it said, "oh, you live too far away, has to be $30.00 or more." I told the person I had gotten delivery from them for years and no one had EVER told me there was a limit, or, that I lived too far away. She said they "recently" changed their rules for delivery. I ordered from them all the time. Don't believe they actually changed anything. I cancelled the order. Then I called back to speak to a manager. This same person told me the manager only came in once a week. I asked if I could speak to anyone else besides her, she said there was nobody else. Won't be back.

My first criticism is that when I went to look at their menu on Yelp, it was totally unreadable. My second criticism is I ordered a quart of egg drop soup, and when I got home and opened it, I saw they put shrimp in it. Why?! Who asked them to do that? I'm allergic to seafood. I wanted a simple egg drop and now I couldn't eat it. Please inform your customers that you are doing this!

Shangri La is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Their fried chicken is fabulous. Their sweet n' sour soup is the best in town. One of my favorite dishes is Chicken Egg Foo Young. The best I can describe that dish is to say it tastes like a Chinese omelette. Don't knock it. Instead, try it. It is delicious. It's served with a sweetish duck sauce that is the perfect compliment. If this restaurant is not on your must try list please add it.

But if you put in an online order DO NOT show up until ATLEAST 15 minutes after it says on the order have gone over 4 tomes for dinner and waited over 30 minutes past the quoted time. Amd had orders called in while inwas in the lobby get picked up before my order was ready.
