The Birmingham Bistro or just The Bistro ,as it is called in the hospital, is located on the second floor of the main hospital. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place is spotless. The dining room is spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. You can also take your food to go. Bags, condiments, utensils, and paper napkins are provided right past the cashiers. The choices can be a little limited on the weekend. They always have a selection of chips, snacks, fruit, yogurt, cold sandwiches and wraps, and salads to choose from. They also offer a nice selection of drinks. You can always count on them to make a mean fresh grilled burger, no matter when you visit. During the week, however, you can find all manner of desserts, salads, sandwiches, and at least one meat other than a burger. It's a tad over priced but it's worth it just to be able to stay on the grounds with your loved one while they are in the hospital. The food is good. Chris, one of the cooks on duty, made a delicious grilled chicken sandwich and fries with queso for me tonight. I also got a slice of pie. It was a yummy combination of key lime and coconut. Definitely check this place out and the neighboring cafeteria before going off site.

Workers are rude. Not friendly at all. It's in a hospital, it should have people that are friendly and have some respect. But all seemed like they didn't won't to be there or even work. So it was a hassle if they had to cook something.

Food is good but the service was lacking today. A man ask me to put on a mask so I did then he proceeded to follow me around to the register my nose was out of the mask like the cashier and most everyone else. So he would not let me pay for my food that was already in the disposal box they put the food in. The woman at register said I don't know what his problem is bit you can got to the cafeteria he does work there so he follows me again to the cafeteria lol so I just left at that point. Beep Beep Beep was what I was thinking some people need to get a life.

We've been at the hospital for 19 days now. Each day the staff in the cafeteria are worse. Only if you're white! There is a BIG difference in the way you are treated to the portions of your food. I will be getting all the names of employees and making a report on each of them. This is unacceptable and totally uncalled for.

They wouldn't serve me because I didn't have a mask. So, instead of getting out of the line I had just waited in for 10 minutes, finding a mask, getting back in the line, ordering my food and walking 20 feet to sit down and take my mask back off so I could eat around a bunch of people with no mask on .... I decided to leave. There is no logic left in society.

Food here is fresh and very good! Had a cheeseburger yesterday and today I got a huge salad with spinach, strawberries, blue berries, black berries, Pecans and blue cheese. Was so very good. Their menu has something for everyone. They have full meals or fast food as well as grab and go sandwiches. If you happen to be at this hospital visiting or lucky enough to work here, stop in.

The food is decent. The staff seems put out, except for one cashier who was joyful and bubbly.

I had no trouble getting help. The food was hot and fresh. Wider variety and fresher than most hospital cafeterias, by far. I actually enjoyed my burger and Brussels.

Don’t waste your time at Bistro. The customer service is horrible and the food is okay. They really needs to close shop .

The food was actually pretty good. It was hot and fresh. The workers were really nice too. A good choice while visiting the hospital.

Terrible customer service, low quality of food and noticeable apathy from the staff. Rarely have I felt people in the food service had disdain for me as a customer but I definitely felt that at Bistro. The poor woman who ordered vegetarian lasagna in front of me had it scraped into a container in a manner that I would have caused me to refuse the item. If zero stars was available I would have selected it.

Whomever is answering phones today for the main line and patient information needs an immediate re-train in phone etiquette. Your attitude, especially right now, is neither desired nor required.
