A great place to walk if you can avoid the dog crap and homeless people. Recommend going in the morning when it's less walkers and dogs.

Went to the R&B event. The event was nice. The artists were basically djs and a few line dance artists. Cupid was the headliner. We did get rained out but we enjoyed it before we had to leave

My first time at Railroad Park and we very much enjoyed our visit! The Alabama Symphony Orchestra was performing and it was brilliant! The weather was perfect for a night under the stars listening to an orchestra. We got in relatively quickly as it was a free show. There were a lot of people here! We brought our blanket and spread it out on the grass to listen to the show. It was crowded but not too bad where we couldn't spread out a bit. They had food trucks and plenty of places to get snacks. We were allowed to bring in a cooler with water and Cokes in it. The staff checking our things as we walked in were quick and friendly. There were plenty of portable restrooms as well as the ones at the facility. It's a very beautiful park and very clean from trash. There are several places within walking distance to get a drink or a meal. The only thing I found aggravating was the parking. There's only a limited number of street spaces available. We drove around for a good 20 minutes or so before finally finding a place to park. In all, it was a great show and a fun experience! Thanks!!

Love this place! Parking can be a problem in the afternoon but the park is great! The location offers a great vibe and surrounded by a number of eateries and coffee houses. Check it out for a great workout spot or a nice chill date.

I really enjoy walking in this park. Walking in an inner city that feels more like a neighborhood park is always great. Walking while listening to the train going over the tracks, friends laughing and talking loudly as they walk. Seeing people sit and take in the sites of the surrounding coffee shops, bars, restaurants and breweries is as entertaining as taking in these sites yourself. The greatest part about walking at Railroad Park is the cleanliness and the beauty of the walking trail...nice, lush landscape and hardscape of the park itself. This park is always a YES for me!

Railroad Park is one of my favorite places in the city! I love coming here to ride bikes, do yoga, take a walk, or lay out on a blanket to watch the clouds. Some of my fav things are the winter ice skating rink and the ballet & symphony in the park events! The park is a few city blocks long and is directly across from Regions field, so you get to see firework displays during the season. There's usually plenty of security around, ice cream trucks, and a variety of food options in walking distance as well. There's a place for skaters, jungle gyms for kids, and a really big hill that's pretty fun to roll down! It really is Birmingham's front porch and I'm so glad to be able to use it to better connect with myself and community.

A nice park in the city. We wished there was a bit more shade, but the landscaping was nice and the sidewalks were clean.

This park has an amazing atmosphere to walk, sit or have a picnic in. The views are nice, there's 3 bodies of water, you'll see ducks, turtles and fish. One is kind of like a waterfall. There are walkable eateries close by if you need a snack. The park does have two drink vending machines including water, sports drinks and soda. This place is family friendly as there is a spot just for kids.

I love Railroad Park. I love the atmosphere. Good walking trails and spacious enough to stretch out.

Fantastic place to go for a picnic, working out, or even photoshoots. This place encases what a Beautiful Birmingham area is. I have been here many times in the recent years, and I have enjoyed my time there every visit. I also appreciate how large it is, so plenty of perfect space to not be too close to others. The upkeep of the bathrooms is nice, as well as the area under the pavilion to enjoy food. This area is near the "rainbow" bridge as well as it's near a few good bars and food joints. Perfect place to take your bike, skates, or a picnic basket with a nice meal.

Super fun place to go for a park experience. Midday during the week, you can see different people going about their day here. I would be careful of some individuals, as it is by the Downtown area

Great park! We walked the park one afternoon and then returned to the area the next day and there were food trucks and lots of vendors. We did not know anything was going on there, despite excessive research to find events/markets. So we ended up missing everything as everyone was packing up. The park was beautiful, lots of room to spread out, run/walk, workout, exercise equipment, and an amphitheater type establishment as well.

LEAF NO TRAIL! I have always heard about this park, but never seemed to find it. Which blows my mind since I work down town. But at the same time when I come down town during the week my main focus is go to work and then come home. Railroad park is in the heart of down town Birmingham and it is a treasure to have. There are tons of people walking their dogs, biking, skating, walking. It is definitely the spot to go for getting your daily dose of exercise. There is tons of things to do. If you aren't the type to be into daily exercise then that's okay too there are plenty of food establishments around and other things to do in the area. (Red Cat Cafe, Regions Field, B&A Warehouse, to name a few). I am very exited to see this park in the fall time when the leaves are crisp and the air is a little more brisk. It would be such a delightful walking experience. There are even events that get held here in this park. It is an amazing park and a wonder for this community.

I can't believe I've never been to Railroad Park before! Great place in downtown to get out for a stroll or skateboard or dog walking. There's a nice amphitheater I'd love to come watch a show sometime. It's really nice and unfortunately a summer shower cut my time short here today. Will be back!!
