Pearl's Lounge is the hangout spot for the older crowd .. it has a nice set up inside and out, the music is good, the staff is awesome also and the food USE TO BE delicious. I patronize Pearl's Lounge quite often and most of the times, I will eat from there. The fried green tomatoes are a hot commodity at Pearl's Lounge (too myself and my friends). However, last night was different. It was very disappointing... THEY (the fried green tomatoes) were very, very soggy, the little batter that was hanging on was flavorless and the tomatoes were extremely skimpy/super thin. I've never had a complaint about the lounge but last night was horrible. I brought my friend from New Orleans with me and she too was enjoying herself and having a good time UNTIL she ordered her food (wings and fried green tomatoes). It was so bad that she didn't even eat it. She said her chicken was suppose to be lemon peppered but they just were salty without the lemon pepper flavor and her tomatoes were soggy and thin as well. She just left it on the table and wanted to complain to someone about her food, whether to re-cook it or refund her money. WE ENDED UP LEAVING and feeling like we didn't get to experience what we came there for. I must say that I was embarrassed because I spoke very highly of Pearl's Lounge (from the awesome vibe of the crowd, the good music, staff, drinks and food) only to have to put my foot in my own mouth :-(. I don't know what happened to the food but it is by far one of the major highlights of Pearl's Lounge with the exception of Ms. Lilly Pearl herself being present :-). But I will ask that you please bring the original food back to Pearl's Lounge. Thanks, A Concerned and Dissatisfied Customer ... I am not from San Francisco either, lol... don't know how to change it.
