“Food was definitely below average but I understand that's not their specialty. The wine came in various flavors and they were all uniquely delicious! The service was great and we'll be back! The ambiance of the winery was by far the best part, such a great spot for a date!“

“The Calera country side is a beautiful area for a winery. We enjoyed this place although when we went it was a bit crowded and the staff/service wasn’t as friendly and attentive as I’d prefer. Overall the wines were good and we enjoyed the setting. Also have been by as part of the train excursions we’ve been on. Been a while since we’ve visited. Beautiful in both spring and fall. In spring everything is lush and in bloom and green. In fall the leaves are changing. Beautiful Bama country side setting. Look forward to visiting again sometime!“

“Bill Lewis himself led our tasting. He made it a very personable experience. Their focus is on dryer wines. The atmosphere was charming and eclectic, with a barn-wedding feel. This was a beautiful vineyard with Adirondack chairs settled at different points on the grounds to watch the sun set over the vineyard. Don't miss this stop on the Alabama Wine Trail!“

“We had our daughter’s wedding reception here and it was great! It’s a brewery that specializes in Mead ( fermented honey to make alcohol) but they work with your party to provide any other drinks and catering you may need. But I have to say, the mead is delicious! The venue can seat around 100 counting the very cute outside seating area that has a fire pit and standing kerosene lamps. The inside floors are hardwood and the ceiling is dotted with decorative rustic chandeliers. They have a pool room and a cute Photo Booth which turned out to be a hit. They have a small stage for either DJ or band and enough room for dancing. This place has everything!“
