I've came to this location since it first opened, and I really enjoy the food; however, the past 2 times I have been I was disappointed with the service. On the first occasion, I came and had a waitress who was a tall African American girl, and she never came to our table 1 time to ask if we were doing okay until we finished our food. I actually told my wife that if she didnt come and check on us I would not leave a tip. Right before we were about to leave she came and asked how everything was and I told her I needed a refill because my drink had been empty for probably 10 minutes. The second time I came was Tuesday and the same girl was my waitress. She did not refill my drink one time or check on our table to see how we were doing. She was actually laughing and playing with the employees behind the counter. I happened to be the only customer in the restaurant at the time. I tend to always leave a tip no matter of the experience. While there, the lady seemed to be rushing us out because when I finally waved her to come over so I could get more wasabi, she brought the card reader over there thinking we were ready to go. At that time I had already finished my drink, but I didn't want to ask for a drink because I wanted to see if she would offer. When I was finally ready to leave I sipped on my ice through the straw as I was paying and still she didn't even offer as she was watching me slurp my ice through a straw. I had a $60 tab and I ended up leaving her only $5, and I am usually way more generous. Usually on a $60 tab I would leave a $15-$20 tip. In this case I'm not 100% sure if I should have even left a tip. Hopefully the managers or owner will see this and maybe speak with her about checking on her tables. She would probably make a lot more money as well. She was a nice person, but her service was awful. I will most likely be getting takeout from now on or something.

This was the most overpriced, mediocre sushi rolls I've ever had the misfortune to waste money on.The size and quality of the Rainbow Roll is nothing short of insulting. Almost like they went next door and got it from the Chinese buffet, and as mediocre the rolls are there, at least the rice is not undercooked. "Al dente" is not what's expected for sushi rice.I'm glad I ordered 2 orders of Shrimp Tempura Rolls, that way it felt like one actual full order. This place is an absolute waste of money, you're better off getting sushi from Publix, at least there you get what you pay for.

My first visit to R&R. The atmosphere is good and service was friendly and the facility is clean and well maintained. Music videos were spot on for the R&R theme. Big choice of sushi rolls on the menu but maybe not what I would call traditional sushi rolls. Lots of cream cheese, fried, baked. Service was fairly quick from the back of the house. They also have a full bar and a great sound system. The dumplings were really good, crispy and hot. We had a VIP roll and a Spicy Tuna Roll which were good but not great. I was a little disappointed in the miso soup, it had no flavor and was room temperature. Our server did voluntarily remove the soup from our tab. The Tuna Tataki appetizer was pretty good but slightly over cooked. Their interpretation of that dish was different than what I've traditionally seen.Overall I liked the theme but they need to focus a little more on tradition and quality. But look, for sushi in Cullman Al, I really wouldn't trust any other place.Urban CowgillApril 2024

This is such a cool place withe even cooler ownership and staff. Great music on the TV very current decor.Whomever owns this place needs to bring in a consultant who actually understands the preparation of Japanese food. The Miso soup was bizarre with no tofu. Small bowl lukewarm. The seafood salad had fish that was sliced so thin it was almost unrecognizable. Again very small. I spent 50$ and was hungry when I left. Concentrate on the food and the rest will come it’s a winning team.

My cousins and I met at Rock N Roll Sushi in Cullman because it is a good central location for everyone. By the time aunts and uncles joined us, I think we had 16 people in our group so we did make reservations ahead of time. When we arrived our table was ready, and they served us appetizers while we waited for everyone to arrive. The food and the service were excellent, and we will definitely go back!

Loved it! We were a group of 13 diners and had fabulous service and wonderful food. I eat sushi often, and was impressed at how quickly they prepared as many rolls as our group ordered. My rolls were delicious, and the appetizers were to die for. Don’t pass on the appetizers if you go. Our group enjoyed the fun atmosphere, and liked that it was a different take on more traditional sushi places. We didn’t have any young kiddos with us, but I like that they have a kids menu for those parents wanting to enjoy sushi with a child who prefers chicken nuggets. Oh, and they offer hibachi and poke bowls as well (will try a bowl next time). This was my first visit to Rock N Roll Sushi, but won’t be my last.

If I could put zero stars I would. Horrible service, no one knows at all what they’re doing. I had to ask the server for silverware before I could even eat. The rice in my roll was hard. None of the fish is fresh and they load down with sauce to cover it. The bartender was slow and ruined my simple drink. Over priced for nothing. Do not waste your money.
