Food was average.Update, there was no place at the website to elaborate on my issues so here you go. I myself had a small Italian sandwich with chips and a drink and my wife had a BBQ slaw sandwich with a drink. The Italian one had little to no meat at all and not much taste, the BBQ one was too sloppy and not much taste also. The thing is we paid about $24 for all this and these kinds of costs we expect food to be worth the cost.

My husband got the Italian footlong and said it was good. He ate half that night and half the next day. I got the 6" turkey bacon ranch on wheat. It was delicious and they remembered my pickle. Unfortunately, they forgot my husband's pickle. That actually happened 2 out of 3 times we've been there. Since we take them home to eat, he just doesn't get one. But what we do get is fresh and good. The bread is good, veggies fresh, meat and cheese taste good.

I always get the hook and ladder with everything on it. It's my favorite. I will go out of my way for a fire house sub.

I was on tour with my band and stopped here for a sandwich about 45 minutes before close and I was talked down to and treated poorly. I left feeling disrespected but the sandwich was great so I kept it moving but I just remembered how rude the woman who took my order was. When I asked for sauce she told me I could only have a couple, & That I had to pay two dollars for extra. She was rude as all get out. It sucks because I donated to the EMS fund. Never going to firehouses again.

I can't believe how small the meat portion has gotten at firehouse. Charging top dollar for a sandwich yet they don't put enough meat on the bread to cover the entire sub loaf. Pathetic! Firehouse saw "shrinkflation" on the news and they said let me try that. I've been eating at firehouse for over 15 years and have always loved it. I think this might be my last steamed sub for a long time.
