I loved this place. The food was outstanding. Wait staff a bit slow but extremely nice. Smoking right at the opening of the restaurant door was disappointing. I saw one of the waitress’s smoking out front during her shift. That was odd. The owner must be a smoker as well or they would see a need to move all the smoking area in the back.

Loved trying the Josie's Gyros with Homemade Hashbrowns & Unsweet Tea for my taste of my experience & my brother had the Build Your Own Pizza & it was all good & it's our 2nd time to come in for Josie's in Decatur, AL.

Oh Muh gerd!!!! Found a hidden gem in downtown Decatur. Food was delicious. Service was outstanding. Felt at home within minutes of sitting down. Can’t wait to go here again. Lots of things on the menu I look forward to trying! I had steak with chimchurri and a Reese’s peanut butter drink.

The cook started the grill back up just to cook our food. The quality of the food was excellent and so was the wait staff.

The food was okay but prepared well. Good prices but portions on the smallish side. The dining room side was closed so we sat in the bar. Several people were there watching football and getting quite excited at times. Roll-up windows were open and I caught an occasional whiff of cigarette smoke.

My 3yr Olds and 2 yr old love going here. Once a week they ask to go. The staff is amazing. I walk in the door and they already know what we want but still ask just in case. Then they always have good recommendations if they are out of anything. Definitely my favorite place to eat in Decatur. Try the chimichuri steak frites.Vegetarian options: Falafel and a few other optionsKid-friendliness: My kids love the servers and dance when they play music on weekendsWheelchair accessibility: A ramp into the entrance and everything is on ground level. Also, you can eat inside or out.

Cute place, but out of 4 of us eating there, none of us were impressed. Spaghetti sauce was dry and noodles underdone (not al dente) the falafel sandwich came on pita bread so hard you could pick up the whole thing like a plate. The salad with grilled chicken was pretty lackluster and the sandwich and fries was lukewarm. I tried a cocktail from their menu and it was basically like a watered down kool-aid, I don't know if there was even any alcohol in it. We had gnats bothering us the whole time we were eating, so I'm sure cleanliness could be better too.I don't usually leave reviews like this, but all four of us went home dissatisfied and continue bringing up in conversation how bad this place was.

First and last time. I chose to eat here because a friend recommended. The fish was very fishy like not fresh, the food was missing ingredients that was listed on the menu, like Brussel sprouts with out cheese and sitting in a liquid in the cast iron pan. No Sriracha or parmesan cheese just burned sprouts and cauliflower swimming in a watery liquid! The atmosphere was only seeing the staff Vaping in the kitchen area while cooking food un-gloved, just cutting up while blasting very loud vulgar rap music. The atmosphere was loud due to the staff only because, “We” were the only people dining! The kitchen radio was louder than the music in the restaurant. It appears there is no management due to employees lounging out front smoking too. Very disappointed considering the same owners of Shrimp McGees. We live in Decatur and enjoy date night but If I could I would give 0 stars. I hope we don’t have food poisoning from the fish tacos. I Don’t recommend this place at all ever.

The food is so delicious. My husband and I crave it all the time ever since we first tried it. The staff is just as amazing as the food, too. The bartender is so sweet, and my girls loved her. Even the bashful one!

You can't beat coming here for falafels, wine, and people-watching from the stools at the bar up front. The service can be slow, but for date nights I've never minded that and the quality of the food and sweet waitstaff make it worthwhile. Fantastic paella!

Avoid brunch. They are inefficient and the food is mediocre at best. It took 75 minutes to get three dishes that looked like they could have been made in 5 mins. The BLT comes with no sauce, bread was far over toasted. The breakfast pizza is a regular pizza with a fried egg on top, not even part of it. You could make a better one at home in no time. The breakfast bowl is a few potato’s, cheese, meat, and once again an egg or two thrown on top. The menu is misleading, the service was terrible, and the kitchen clearly has work to do. We boxed our food immediately and left. It’s unfortunate because during dinner this is normally a solid place. Save your money and time and venture across the street.

I had heard good things about Josie's and looked forward to trying it. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. I ordered a French dip sandwich. It was alright; I've had much better. The fries were good. My husband got the nachos, which were alright but had really good queso. My sister got the shawarma chicken nachos, which were on tortilla chips and not pita as advertised on the menu. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. However, we had to wait a long time for our food. It looked like most people ordered pizza. So I think I'd stick with pizza when ordering here, but I don't plan to go back.

First time here was in town for a tournament. The reviews were great so thought I would try it. Walked in got no greeting not sure if I should find my own seat or wait. I found a waitress and asked was told find a seat. Waited about 10 mins for someone to ask if we wanted drinks. Food took forever and then it was cold.
