Not as good as it once was. Food has taken a dip in quality and so has service. In the last couple years just went down hill. Also waiter tried to tell a bogus story about the name and say it had something to do with the owner being from Tuscaloosa. The actual story is really sweet. Everything was sticky and fruit was canned pineapple with sliced up strawberries. They took out a lot of the healthier options except salads

Update: 13 February 2024.Been back several times over the years. Very good food and service. People have worked here for years.Their cheesy fries are the best in town. They do not skimp on cheese, real bacon and fries.Always clean. Busy with to go orders but still fast service.Compared to other restaurants in the area, they haven't changed much in years. They only have gotten better.Good food great service. We keep coming back. Enjoy their pizza and salads. Cheesy fries are great.

I wanted to love this place as it's a local establishment and not a chain, but it just missed the mark. As always, we do takeaway and acknowledge this isn't the BEST way to enjoy a meal, but is still a way to enjoy a meal and have had plenty of meals blow us out of the water as takeaway. A couple things that we felt could have been done better - let's talk red onions. A straight up side salad is either great or lackluster leaving you wishing you had opted for the less healthy alternative. Wish these would have been soaked to lessen the punch of the fact you're biting into a raw onion. Secondly- wish these would have been diced, or chopped, or at least a half julienne. They were as thick as onion ring slices, and as most would agree, biting into a half inch thick raw red onion isn't pleasant - entrees; pasta yaya and blackened chicken. much left to the imagination. Have you seen the frozen lean cuisines, the chicken Alfredo with broccoli? yes- thats the pasta yaya. Familiar with these from my childhood; theres little difference in taste. My husband had the blackened chicken pasta. In summary, both tasted as jar sauces. Definite room for improvement, and a fine example of just because you can, doesn't mean you should. - price; see above. $16/these entrees even in these times of inflation doesn't feel right.

Our waitress wasn't very friendly and got our order wrong. We could see her eating her food in another booth and it seemed like it was a bother to wait/check on us. We have been there several times and have always had excellent service.

I travel a lot, and eat a lot of hot wings, and these hot buffalo were without a doubt some of the best I've ever

January 2022: One of our few regrets on Dothan trips.Service was mediocre. Food fell below that mark. It was all just ok. Fried green beans, the BF's pizza. All just basic off brand freezer section options that didn't taste like the price suggested. Tiny potions and plain. We left, did our shopping and then stopped in a favorite place to grab some drinks and apps to make up for being hungry.Parking: It's in a strip mall and plenty of parking.

Red Elephant is a nostalgic place for me, I went a lot as a kid before my location back home closed down. I was excited when I moved to Dothan and saw it was still around. Their cheeseburgers and fries, as basic of a meal that it probably is, just always hits the spot for me. I’ve become somewhat of a regular and they always know to get me extra ranch for the side :)

We stopped in on our way to do some shopping, while in town. Hubby really wanted a good pizza and we went based on reviews. He ordered sausage, pepperoni and mushroom pizza. While the toppings were plentiful, the crust was nothing to speak of. It was thin, not thoroughly cooked and was most definitely prepackaged! I ordered the Southwest salad. Plentiful toppings and very good! Our service was excellent and the host very friendly!

Our server Connor was on his A-game. Very knowledgeable, polite, and very friendly. He made our first time at The Red Elephant awesome! Ask for him if you're dining in! The Southwest Chicken Wrap was awesome. And the salmon rice bowl was off the chart!

Worst pizza I have ever paid for! The crust is not hand tossed and was dry and salty. Horrible.
