Food was awful! They ran out of most of what we ordered. Came back to us 45 minutes after we had ordered to tell us things were gone! Service was slow and not good! The food was NOT good and it was terribly expensive! I won't be going back.

Never a disappointment. My husband and I will spend whole Saturday's enjoying the food and ambiance. My only complaint would be the bathroom being pretty dirty on most occasions but I know they get very busy and it is what they have to work with. Everything else is great. Staff is always incredibly friendly and willing to make your visit as enjoyable as possible!

Summer 2024 will be my third year frequenting the Social. It is one of only a few restaurants accessible by boat. Ideally, I'd love to see more slips for docking. Unfortunately, a tornado took out some trees in the area but, fortunately, made for more car parking. The weekends during prime boating season can get a little wild after dark but the restaurant is a fun family (and pet friendly) place until about 7 or 8PM. And who doesn't love live music, right? I appreciate the fact that students are able to get summer jobs there, but they also have enough "seasoned" workers to keep things rolling smoothly most of the time. I have a favorite bartender but they are all pretty friendly. I'm not much of a drinker but I haven't heard very many complaints regarding mixed drinks. On beautiful days, expect a large crowd. Expect somewhat longer than normal wait times on ordering and receiving your food. Expect some mix ups on orders. And sometimes, the food will only be subpar. But 9.5 times out of 10, the runners bring my food out with a smile. All things considered, I love hanging out/eating at the Social. Food faves: shrimp and grits (brunch only), catfish basket, grilled shrimp tacos, mahi tacos, and crispy fries with ranch dressing

Had a great experience on a beautiful fall day at the lake. They were short on chicken strips but substituted with a great burger and extra shrimp. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to go

Atmosphere is fine to stop in for a drink but don’t get the food. I had the tuna and Brussels sprouts and it was inedible. Very fishy and the Brussels were steamed and mushy. The women’s bathroom was gross and out of toilet paper and paper towels. For lake Martin there are other places to get great food, especially for the money being spent

We sat on the patio and had trouble finding a place free of neighboring cigar and other smoke. It took a bit to get our food delivered to the table. I had the mahi mahi tacos. The fish was overcooked and dry, the tortillas were not soft. It's a great place to come after a day on the lake, though.Parking: It's a gravel lot that has washed out somewhat.Kid-friendliness: There were kids there as well as dogs.

Great place on the lake to eat! Pier and boat slips at restaurant, parking lot for landlubbers, outdoor covered areas, indoor seating, bar, great food and service!
The food is fine lake fare. You can come barefoot right off the boat. A great selection of children's favorites or just an awesome bar with live music. Say hello to Justin (Pinky) when you are there.

Ducked in here because of storms approaching. 1st time visit. I was hoping for a little more "indoor dining" to beat the brutal heat but understandably this is a Lake Spot. Pricey too...but we did like the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos & fries! I was really upset with all the black flies though. I get they are everywhere and may be hard to control, but it was ridiculous. Couldn't keep them off our food & drinks so it was unpleasant and difficult to enjoy our meal. Most of the Staff is nice & friendly. We did get a little attitude from some of the Bartenders. When on the Lake, we would love to give it another try!

Be prepared it's a bar. Must wait in line to order and find a seat in crowded area. But...food and music were good. Just be prepared for what the restaurant is.

Good live music at brunch, and a really good BLT sandwich. Even at 90+ degrees, the breeze off the water kept things cool. Plus quick service right to your table. Definitely recommend!
