The New Rawls with Chef Dawn was fabulous last night. Service was perfect and the atmosphere is both upscale and relaxing. The food was delicious and we had a wonderful cabernet from their extensive wine list.

Wow! Amazing service, amazing staff (William & the waitresses were very personable and attentive), and excellent food at the New Rawls. Chef Dawn really impressed me with the exceptional meal, from the appetizer to the dessert. The filet mignon was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I have a tendency to put steak sauce on my steak but didn't need to this time because it was delicious without it. The three cheese mac and cheese was fantastic. Lastly, the creme brulee is the best I've ever had. I'll be returning soon for German night!

The new Rawls reopened under new management and the restaurant is still one of the best for ambience and atmosphere. We went to try the restaurant as it had reopened recently and we really liked the " old" Rawls. Our server was very nice and friendly . She served us in a timely manner and was attentive to our requests with minimal waiting. The 3 star rating is being generous because of the ambiance and the server. The food leaves a lot to be desired. I had the prime rib special, which was not cooked properly and had a pork aftertaste. I talked to the owner and all he said was he wasn't a chef and would speak to the chef. The meat was very chewy, the au jus sauce had a strange taste like pork belly grease and was lukewarm when delivered. My wife got the fish, red snapper, which was overcooked and dry. It was seared and also had that pork taste. It should be a crime to screw up a piece of fish like this. We very disappointed as we had really wanted to like this "new" Rawls. If you want fish prepared properly, go to the " new" barrel room. When the bill came we were overcharged and had to get the manager to correct it which was a goat rope in its own way. 3 stars is being generous and giving them the benefit of doubt for being "new".

We had Valentine's dinner last night.vThe food was amazing!!! Unfortunately, the server was horrible. We were a table of 6 so gratuity was included, that would be why she didn't care. We sat for 30 minutes before we got water and another 15 waiting for her to come take our drink order. We tried to order dinner when she got our drink order but she literally said" naaahhhh, we'll get that later". Another 20 minutes then she took our order. Once we ordered the courses came within a reasonable amount of time. The food was so good but she didn't refill drinks or get the wine list. They shouldn't tell the servers they are getting a 20 percent gratuity and maybe they would try harder.

Everyone seems to go the extra mile to make sure your dining experience is wonderful.Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for fine dining and beautifully crafted cocktails. Initially went to The Rawls in early January and had a lovely experience. The service was timely, the food was great (we even got a little treat at the beginning) and it was a great ambiance. Given that experience, I had invited my friends to go back. Our experience was night and day different. Just to order our wine was over 45 minutes, not to mention we waited an hour between our appetizer and main course. When our food did come out, it tasted dry, like it was just sitting under the heat lamps. My friend ordered the Brussels sprouts and they were saturated in oil. The waitress then told us she tried our food after we sent it back, is that actually allowed!? And also gross! All of these things maybe would have made sense if it was extremely busy but guess what, there were maybe 5 tables of people eating. When we approached the owner after to let her know our experience, she simply said sorry and didn't offer any additional comments on how to make it better for us or future guests. I really wanted to have this be "our spot" but we will never ever be going back. Shame on the owner for not recognizing these issues, it's not a surprise this place closed down before.

It's under new management, which they are all from Florida and bring fresh Gulf seafood to the Wiregrass. The Steaks and meats on the menu have been carefully selected for quality and taste and are hands down the best ever! The new Chefs worked for Emeril's restaurant in Gran Blvd, Sandestin. The wine list is well appointed and offers Oregon, Washington & South African selections, as well as California & old world. The GM is a wine sommelier as well. Time to revisit the historic building and new restaurant! It's not just for special occasions. It's for everyday!
