I will keep it simple. Do you like Chinese take-out? If yes, then you will like China Chef.

The food is always ready in fifteen minutes. It's delicious, with big portions as well. We always get the Pu Pu plater, which includes 2 of the best fried chicken wings I've ever had. General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mei fun, and won ton soup are also some of our favorites. It's pricey, but worth the occasional splurge. Also, my husband left his wallet. When we realized this 3 days later, I called them, and they had already sent us a letter letting us know they had it. You want to support local businesses who honestly support you.

Great Food, but worn, nasty facilities. Once one gets past the faded, torn hand scratched signage and the filthy windows and doors, the Shrimp Egg Foo Yung takeout is the best!!! And very reasonable. Former buffet is now just a filmy glass giving one concern about the cleanliness. Health ratings are always above 90, even though rear door on Nichols looks ratty.

Delicious beef and broccoli, unfortunate incident....someone else got my order, but they remade the order promptly!Definitely my go to for Chinese takeout in Fairhope!

I have never left anyone a bad review until now, but this place was so bad I think people should know!!! It took them an hour to prepare what I thought would have been food . This was the nastiest Chinese food I have ever had. Fried rice was just yellow rice. The chicken was not edible it tasted spoiled and was hard and grisly , wantons were gross. I will never order from them again. If I could give zero stars I would!

35 minute delay from committed time on text. The good was warm, tasteless with the wontons mostly dough.

The place has a bad smell and looks like it needs a serious remodel. The woman taking orders was not welcoming nor showed any gratitude for our business. The food was mediocre at best. Because the Fairhope Brewing Co. is across the street and doesn't have adequate parking, their patrons take up the majority of the parking places, making it very difficult to find a parking spot. It was our 2nd shot in 2 years and we will drive to Foley for Chinese food.

Buffet/all you can eat. Good if you are really craving Chinese food, considering the lack of good Chinese Food Restaruants in the area. Depressing, dirty tables, plastic plates & forks, self serve. Very affordable.

China Chef food tastes better than what I've eaten at most Chinese restaurants. I've been eating there since before Covid, and I'm glad they survived bad times. The young lady in up front is so sweet! The only drawback is the long wait between 5-7 P:M for your order.Parking: There is plenty of parking and a watering hole across the street if you want a drink while you're waiting for your order.Wheelchair accessibility: If no one parks illegally in a handicap spot, then there are spots at the front door.

It had been a year or so since we had been there so we decided to give it another shot. The second we walked in the door, I remembered why it had been so long...we were immediately greeted with the smell of butt...it literally smells like a toilet...we went up to order and instead of a hello or what can I get you, she looks at us and just says yes? We place our order and sit down to wait and watch as she greets every single person that came in for their takeout...they must all be regulars because she was very friendly with them. Our food was delivered in takeout containers instead of on a plate and we were given these teeny tiny forks and teeny tiny napkins...my husband liked his order but my garlic chicken was grisly and it is still messing with me hours later...the aftertaste was so bad, I immediately chewed gum when I was done and brushed my teeth when I got home. Also, the place was just filthy and nasty...Never again...Parking: Fairhope Brewery customers seem to steal all of the parking spots.

I get it. Southern folk don't actually have a clue what actual Chinese food should taste like. Even worse, no clue about what American Chinese food should actually taste like. It's just that bad. From the weird yellow tone fried rice, to the mushy dumplings that have no flavor other than soy sauce -and msg, be forewarned, this isn't the food the proprietors actually eat. They eat nothing short of amazing while they serve the lowest level of quality at an arm and a leg price. California prices, Alabama quality for sure. Service is sterile and the environment feels very unclean. Don't know how else to explain it. It honestly sucks, I have a few local peeps that have eaten Chinese food outside of Alabama and agree. This just ain't it. Better to pass rather than poison yourself with msg laden food.

Poor quality. Lacking flavor. Tried it twice over 2 months and nothing improved.
