A little gem of a restaurant just outside of Florence, Alabama. We visited Oakland Cafe and Minimart after church. My wife and I got the meat and 3. Everything but the sweet potato casserole was delicious. The casserole didn’t taste homemade but I’m also biased to my wife’s sweet potato casserole. The bathrooms are nicely decorated. A signed Gloria Gaynor press advertisement hangs in both the men’s and women’s restrooms!
Tried this for the first time. The service, and the food were both very good.It's on the Oakland community. So,. depending on where you live, if you don't mind a little drive, then it's worth it.

My husband I I ate there last night. He walked in and ordered the last 3 catfish dinners they had left at 5:00. They were amazing! Today we called in lunch for wings, chicken strips and onion rings. We got the last 10 wings for lunch! They were so good, plenty of sauces. The chicken strips were huge and very tender! The flavor was great and we had plenty of food. Would recommend this place!
