I stayed here a while back but thought it deserved a review. I was only staying here for one night just as a stop over but I wish I could’ve stayed longer.. the hotel was beautiful and grand. The rooms were huge, clean and the beds were super comfy. The breakfast included was really nice. In the time I was there I got to try out the revolving restaurant. Which was fantastic and the staff were really nice and friendly.

Beautiful lobby- amazing fish tank! It was decorated for Christmas - absolutely gorgeous. The TV stand in the room was amazing. Staff were all super nice. That’s about all the positive I can say. The bed was super tall- almost needed a running start to get in. And it was hard. So very hard. Blankets were thin and almost scratchy. I did not sleep much at all that night. Art on the walls had a more modern feel which did not match the TV stand. As much as rooms cost I was super disappointed.

All staff was very friendly and helpful. Best service I’ve seen in years. Food at the 360 Grille was wonderful and breakfast at Swampers was also good. Holiday decorations throughout the hotel were beautiful. Would loved to have stayed more than one night in lovely junior suite and gotten to take advantage of the spa. Will be back.

We stayed for one evening. Staff was nice and the casual restaurant in the hotel was OK. We did not eat at the steak house. The location is kind of remote so we thought the property was better than expected. The TN power authority is nearby so it gives you a kind of spooky feel when entering the area of the property.

Stepped into reception and there is a lovely Christmas tree and other things. Large room with 2 double beds, large TV No control. Bathroom shower and a bath also have a balcony with chairs. Light out as you enter room. Outside and indoor pools and hot tubs . Tryed to use indoor pool but not heated far too cold to get in, used both hot tubs inside and outside. Could not find the tv remote had to go down to reception to ask for 1. The maintenance guy fetched it, asked him how to turn the light on by the door. Bulb gone so he fetched his ladder and bulb and fixed it

Stayed one night but wish it was more. Had a super room with great view. Pool and hot tubs were excellent. Grounds and quietly of hotel were top class. Never eat there but it looked good. Great location to visit recordings studios. Would most definitely recommend. Just need to fix the carpet from the bedroom to the bathroom.

First time guest and I have to say it went off without a hitch. Clean, comfortable and convenient. The revolving restaurant (360) was a fun experience and had fantastic views of the river and surrounding area. My one and only complaint, and to be honest it's a legitimate criticism, is the coffee shop. WTH are y'all thinking with the CRAZY layout? Why are you only set up to get one person in the space at a time and then cause a line to form outside of the space blocking hallway and elevators? Here is sone advice: 1) visit other coffee shops and see how ridiculous your concept is as far as barista efficiency and customer service 2) You are in the middle of an exterior renovation, invite the contractor in to bid on a fix RIDICULOUS

For 20+ years, the Marriott Shoals has been our home away from home. Yesterday our friends, at our urging, enjoyed their anniversary there. We wanted to do something special so I called; Front Desk Manager Heather Potts was extraordinarily helpful and arranged a special treat to be delivered for their dinner at 360 Grille on property. Heather went the extra mile and in short order. Our friends were surprised & pleased. This is one of the characteristics that makes this hotel stand out. Mitzi Martin& Jeff Atwood

The staff made our stay one of our best stays in our month long trip!! We were upgraded to the Governor’s Suite! We had lunch at the 370 Grill in the revolving tower at the hotel- the only revolving restaurant in Alabama. As baby boomers, we toured Muscle Shoals Sound Studios and FAME studio- very good and well worth the time.

I have been staying here for 10 years + when I go to Florence. The rooms are top notch. They have a really good restaurant and bar which often has good live entertainment. In the warm months this is a great place to bring kids because they have the best pool/pool area around. Good gym too. In a beautiful setting a little out of the heart of Florence but easy access in and out. Property is big, you can walk/run/exercise out there. This hotel is excellent and it’s what you find globally with flagship Marriotts. Expensive but worth it. I highly recommend this property!

Matthew welcomed us warmly and gave us a wonderful room for our 55th anniversary stay. The food and service at the grill and the spotless room made a great start to our first road trip since covid. The grounds and view of the river are spectacular.

The front desk staff was very good and accommodating. Our room was spacious with a short and bath. Wonderful! The grounds are beautiful kept. Ate at the 360 grill and enjoyed a spectacular view of the dam, river, and the surrounding environs. The food and ambiance we're perfect

Room was clean quiet and well appointed. Bed was comfortable coffee bar in lobby was a good addition. Swampers was just okay... seemed to be out of several items that should be available even in todays stressed restaurant industry

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, and even had Thanksgiving lunch there last year getting “Stuck” in the elevators without the slightest thought of an apology. This trip is my final straw and it is time to say GOOD BYE. There are serious training issues at the management level because I have given them their last try with the front desk. There is an issue that I had not put my hands on it, but this trip highlighted the lack of training and understanding of customer service. I have had issues with the front desk, my wife has had words with them, and my daughter. They are all rude, and have no clue of truly what their job is and how they are the first encounter with the traveler. I arrived after midnight last from California to stay one night and exhausted from a day in the airports and then drove two hours from the Nashville airport. Waking up exhausted, we asked for 45 extra minutes to eat lunch. Brandi at the front desk refused and instructed me I had to out by noon. That was my last straw. As a regular customer that left every stay frustrated because of rudeness or the smartaleck tone of the front desk, I am done as a guest. I waited 45 minutes last stay in the restaurant and another server had to bring our desert because our server decided to go on smoke break. And thus today, the front desk can’t give me 45 minutes to eat lunch while the maid was at the furthest end of the hallway. I have learned in business. There are people that are trained to find a way to NO and there are people that are trained to find a way to YES. The staff at the front desk here follow rules around NO and have no idea how to exercise judgment related to customer service. Therefore, I will be moving to another hotel, and Marriott can look back at my stay and calculate the revenue lost over 45 minutes of accommodating a tired traveler.

We spent a couple of days here for a quick getaway. It's best to go in the summer as the big draw here is the pool. It's large and has a slide and swim-through waterfall and is obviously much larger than most hotel pools. I didn't go to the spa, but I'm sure it's nice if you want to splurge. The restaurant in the lobby was fine for breakfast, but rather expensive for a simple meal. The fine dining restaurant is a show-stopper, as it is 5 stories up in a circular building that rotates 360 degrees with views of the Tennessee River, Florence, and Muscle Shoals. If you want to spend a lot of money for the view, it's a nice treat. However, we chose not to eat there as I saw the menu and decided it wasn't worth it this time as we were trying to keep costs down. The staff is very accommodating and try to make you feel like you are in a luxurious resort. We'll probably come here again and try out the spa and restaurant mentioned above. It's a nice place that's only 2 1/2 hours from our home. There's also other things to see in the surrounding area that we enjoy so it's a win-win. My only negative comment is that the bathroom needs to have an exhaust fan. I always mention this in many of the hotels we visit. This should be standard for all hotels.
