The hostess and server were very nice and friendly. The food was awful. We had the catfish, ribs, and pork chop. The catfish was the worst I had ever had overcooked and the filet so thin. Pork chop was so over salted we couldn't eat it. The ribs were okay but you could tell that they were not fresh. The rice tasted like it was prepackaged and was not fresh. The bill for 3 people was over $100.00. The quality and the price and definitely not there. The desert was good! Now I know why your parking lot was empty and every other restaurant in town was packed. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else.

Great customer service. Everyone left with smiles and knots in their belly. Great choice of food in the area.

Food was terrible. Pot roast was extra salty. Mac n cheese was cold. Ribs were the worst. Catfish was below average. Collard greens was good. Okra was okay. Very disappointed.

This place was very clean and the views were nice of a small lake. There weren't many people dining when we went (Friday Afternoon) but the staff was all friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. We got the 4 entrees/4 sides because it's only $2 more per person than the 2 entree/4 sides so might as well! We got fried chicken, pot roast, shrimp and grits, short ribs and for sides we got poppy seed salad, Mac and cheese, creamed potatoes, and candied yams. The pot roast was a little too salty for my liking but the taste was still good. Surprisingly the shrimp and grits were my favorite and I don't really like shrimp and grits. The Mac and cheese was bomb. The biscuits were bomb. Creamed potatoes were SUPER creamy. No complaints from me.The only thing you can take to go is the desserts and we had to because we were stuffed. Tried the vanilla gooey butter cake and OMG it's so good! It was worth it and we will definitely be back with hopefully more people to enjoy the food withAlso the store is really nice and they have some good stuff for pretty good prices.

Had dinner there last night. Food was good. Service was great, from the lady at the front to the ladies on the floor. They were all great with my son. There was a fella at a nearby table that was very disrespectful to the ladies. He did not comprehend their no doggy bag policy if I recall correctly and became unstable.I went ahead and tipped enough to cover for his table as well. Those ladies do not need to have to deal with that kind of stuff.

Came to Paula Dean’s with some friends. First time. We were seated immediately and our server was ready to take our drink orders. He kindly explained the menu and how it works. The biscuits were very heavy and thick. Almost too under cooked. Chicken was very salty, chicken dumplings we sticky and pasty. Mac n cheese lacked cheesy flavor and were very mushy as if they had been sitting out a while. Ribs lacked flavor. The atmosphere was nice. But wouldn’t say Paula Dean’s is much more then a Golden Corral with wait staff

Went for dinner on 10/14 with friends. Our server Todd, was excellent! He made us feel welcome even though we came in close to closing time, and made certain we didn't feel rushed. Our food was fresh, hot and served quickly. Highly recommend you dine here when in the area.

On a recent girls weekend trip to Gulf Shores we decided to try Paula Deen’s restaurant. We were all very disappointed. We went on Friday night and the restaurant was empty. The food was not good. It was cold and not what we expected. We were looking for good southern food with tons of flavor. This was not the case with any of the dishes we had.

Last night my best friend and I decided to go to OWA. Paula Deens was the only place that was open and neither of us had never eaten there. We got there an hour before closing (6:30). The wait staff was all nice. We ordered the choose 4 or whatever its called. I added fried chicken as one of the choices.Anyways, the food came out really fast, like precooked fast! The chicken I only ate one piece of and that was enough. My friend didn't eat any because he doesn't like bone in chicken. I noticed the meat was still pink.Fast forward to getting home an hour later and I now have the sweats and am vomiting everything that I just ate from this place!I will not be returning to this place.

First off...Brenda was AWESOME! The choices of food options were plenty. Great place for hot comfort food, y'all.

Everything ordered was very tasty. Not the cheapest place to go, but go hungry and you can get your fill of good food.

Can’t even say what happened to me at this restaurant.. Probably would get deleted by trip advisor..

This place is amazing and a great place to bring family and friends. During peak season, you may have a 10-15 minute wait to get a table. This isn't bad for this experience and worth it to show visitors a great time. No worries, if they have a wait, walk around as the gift shop is designed to be a part of the experience.Once you get seated, you're always greeted by staff and servers who greet everyone with Southern charm, who are always super friendly and super polite. They are very attentive, and I've never seen a drink get empty, which is critical to me. Finding a restaurant with attentive folks is becoming very difficult but not at Paula Dean's. The food is so good, the rib meat was falling off the bone, pot roast is so tender, and the biscuits are amazing. Each guests select their own desert, and I always get it to go as im too full for anything else. The price is around $100 for three adults and one child, which isn't bad at all considering endless refills of the food and the quality. I always give honest reviews, so honestly, this is a mist visit for family from out of town or a nice quiet date night. This place is worth visiting more than once. Sorry for the late picites, as I forgot to snap before eating.
