This restaurant is where the old Wendy's used to be at the South End Wine Fort Payne. I walked in expecting more of a greasy spoon diner type atmosphere, but it was very tasteful inside. They have decorated it very nicely. They have a menu of sandwiches and stuff but they're main feature seems to be like I meet and two vegetables or a meat and three vegetables Etc. It is not a buffet though you order it from my waitress and they bring it out. The Special of that day with chicken fried steak with gravy. I ordered this expecting brown gravy and instead it was like country biscuit gravy which was amazing. This steak was Top Notch. I got the mashed potatoes and fried okra and it was all wonderful. It was brought out very quickly and the sweet tea was good as well. The special also included a dessert which was Butterfinger cake which was amazing I did not include a picture of this but it was wonderful. I highly recommend the South End Grill to anyone. It is nice enough to take a date or your wife to sit down with good clothes on and everything it's not just a drop in lunch place. I love it so far and I will definitely be going back

New restaurant that is nicely uptown for Ft. Payne. Good food to go along with the vibe. Some items can be pricey but good quality; so you get what you pay for. Recommend the ribeye or chicken marsala. Loved every side that was tried. As the business continues to grow, recommend the owner add signage to the building and entrance doors.Kid-friendliness: Don’t recall which, but one night a week, kids eat free.

We had lunch today and everything was good and seemed freshly prepared. A lot of choices, very clean and neat dining room. Staff was friendly and professional. FYI, chose the roll and skip the cornbread.

My wife and I visited at dinner time. We both ordered something simple, her, chicken sandwich and fries, me, mushroom & Swiss burger and onion rings.Ok the good part first. She said her meal was good, not great but just good.Now the bad part. The mushroom and swiss was not good at all. The burger was so greasy that it fell apart. The bottom of the bun dissolved in the grease, so that it was no longer a sandwich and couldn’t be picked up! The onion rings were huge! And not good. They were the size of a donut, because thats how much breading they consisted of. A burger and onion rings are “hand held” foods. What I was served had to be ate with a knife and fork.I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I don’t want to pretend that we enjoyed our visit. However, I want to say our waitress was superb. Friendly service, no issues there at all.In hindsight. Should have sent my food back. I didn’t, I have rarely ever done that. Instead, probably never will be back. There are many places to choose to eat, especially for a simple chicken sandwich and burger.

This is my favorite place to eat in Fort Payne these days! I have enjoyed their hamburgers and their salmon dishes are wonderful! They have apple fritters with ice cream that is hands down delicious and I highly recommend everyone try them! We need more restaurants like this for Fort Payne residence to enjoy!! I recommend you go here because the food is excellent as well as the service!!

Good Food. Nice and responsive staff. NO ALCOHOL. Hey look we have all been to places that do not serve adult beverages. Places like mcdonalds for instance.Outside of governmental influenced areas; I have never been to a place that serves dinner, $40 dollar steaks and you cant get a glass of wine.To me that ruins the atmosphere of a nice dinner. To me. Others may not care.The food was really good. Good portions. No issues. Had a steak, shrimp scampi others had cheeseburger.So for me its a lunch place. I expect beer and wine for higher priced food dinner places at a minimum. For food this good at 6:30 pm on a friday the tables in main dining should be 3/4 full at a minimum. I think this could be a reason.Hopefully they can do this or are working on a license.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. It won't be our last.The food was great. Service was phenomenal. The atmosphere was good.The menu has a variety of options to choose from. We went on a Tuesday night. There was no waiting, and they had an unadvertised special of purchase two entrees get an apple fritter and ice cream dessert to share. Our food and dessert all had great flavors.We will be back soon.

Wow! My husband and I had our Valentine's Day dinner here, and it was just fantastic. The delicious chicken masala had enough for two meals, and that shrimp scampi was worth coming back for. The waitstaff was great, and the whole experience was just wonderful.
My son and I had lunch there are we were very impressed. Nice staff that checked on us throughout the service.

I absolutely love this place. They have the freshest meat in town. Got the mushroom Swiss burger, it was so juicy and the flavors exploded in my mouth. My husband got the ribeye it was cooked perfectly so tender and juicyKid-friendliness: They have an amazing kids menu for dinner. They offer way more options than the other restaurants in town. It’s nice to have a place to have pasta and grilled shrimp! On a kids menu.
