“I love their apple fritters. They are flatter and crispy around the edges. My very favorite item they sell. The ladies are super sweet. I enjoy going to the store and trying new things and not leaving empty-handed. I always get an apple fritter!“
“Very friendly owner, great sweetz (lol). Stopped in 20 minutes before close for coffee and she made a new pot, had a delicious blueberry muffin with lemon icing. No chance to take a pic as it was so good it was gone before I even thought about a pic. Handmade cup cakes, muffins and more. Support this local business, you won't regret it!“
“I can certainly say this Walmart is better than the one in Attalla, especially with the overall selection. I understand that the Attalla one is smaller, but Attalla's selection is as basic and bland as it gets. The employees are also better for the most part. I say this because I've found it to be difficult finding pleasant and competent employees in Walmart as a whole.Honestly, it's a bit of a challenge to write a thorough review for Walmart as there are so many elements within this one store, but I can assure you that this is a satisfactory location and I would recommend it when you need to stop by one.“
“Wonderful cookies and always great customer service! As someone who has worked with people for years, the workers handle themselves well considering how horrible people can be. I've witnessed customers be completely unreasonable and berate the workers to start testing them, calling the workers names and making accusations. I admire the young ladies and gentlemen who have to deal with people as it seems food service workers get the worst type of customers. I believe the manager's name is Sherry and she always does an amazing job on the cakes. She is always polite when I come up and knows exactly what I want every time. I will continue to come back as often as I can for my cookies! Thanks GAC in Gadsden for the best cookies and sweet smiles! I feel those who have posted bad reviews have also left out their actions that warranted a reaction and so those should be taken with a grain of salt. The workers at this store have always been good to me and my friends and family. Maybe those with negative reviews came at the workers negatively as a start. It's a cookie, not a life or death situation.“
“Went by today to pick up lunch. They now do a lunch meal. Got the croissant with chicken salad. It comes with chips and a pickle as well as a delicious bakery cookie and a drink, all was wonderful. The cookie was so good,I ate it before I took the picture. However, I did get a picture of my sandwich and chips. I did order a blueberry muffin as those are wonderful as well with lots of blueberries in them, this place is always great. I would highly recommend dropping by and getting coffee, pastries, or lunch. The service is great. The store has lots of options including merchandise, and now they have a corner.“
“Visited with my brother and sister-in-law in Gadsden last week and we spent a mid-day driving in the area, enjoying fall colors - we stopped at Local Joe's for lunch. I had the 'fully-loaded-nachos' w/BBQ sauce and other toppings - it was AMAZING. The service was prompt, loved the 'setting', the store, the dining area, everything about it. The cost was very reasonable for what we had. We have good places in upstate NY but we don't have this. Very much looking forward to coming back again. Thanks for a great memorable lunch.“
“This review is so everyone will know that Cochran's Bakery on Wallace Street, employees MIRACLE WORKERS a.k.a ANGELS. I literally tried to reach the bakery at 5 different Walmarts for a week without success. I gave up on a Walmart bakery and also tried Target, Publix, and Winn Dixie. I guess nobody answers phones anymore but if you have a website that is not operating properly , it's a good idea to consider taking phone calls. I called COCHRANS after a suggestion from a phone operator for the Attalla Walmart. I hadn't bothered to look for their hours of operation. When I called it was 3:00 (thanks Vicki for listening to my sad story) and I had no idea they closed at 4. They didn't reopen until Tuesday and my son's birthday party, with relatives from out of state attending, was less than 24 hours away. When she told me that they closed at 4, I thought there's no way they can do anything customized, so I won't be getting that " YOU'RE THE BEST MOMMY IN THE WORLD" I live to hear from my son. However, I was wrong, not only did they customize the cake, they did it 45 minutes before they closed. I don't know what it taste like but it's beautiful and I can't imagine ANGELS making or selling cake that was anything less than mouthwatering. Thanks again to everyone who works there, you saved the day. If I could I would give you a million stars !! (helpful information, every bakery for Walmart has different hours of operation and they ARE NOT posted anywhere, so just use COCHRANS!!)“
