My first visit to Wyndham Garden on Lake Guntersville. Cigna (my health insurance), held an advocacy meeting at Wyndham Garden in December. A pleasant road trip from Columbiana to Guntersville. There was plenty of parking! Greeted by staff , friendly. Front Desk assisted me to the correct meeting room.Meeting room was clean and comfortable for the time being there. We used the internet to have conversations with other members to join in with some feedback. Restroom was spotless and close to our meeting room. Enjoyed my visit with Wyndham Garden on Lake Guntersville. I will need to visit again in warmer Alabama weather.

Got charged an extra $100 for “extra cleaning” the first shift desk clerk is a smart a$$. We will not go back the doors are hard to close to the room we had people knocking on our door and running away. If you value your money DO NOT STAY THERE!!

Stayed one night. Very satisfied. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. Best we have ever had at a motel buffet. Will definitely stay here again.

Drove 10 hours got to hotel got my room key and when I opened the door it was someone else’s room. So we had to move to another room. That night our neighbors were out drinking until 1 AM but that’s not what bothered me, what bothered me was that at 4:30 in the morning our neighbors were moaning SO LOUD it woke my boyfriend and I both. Then you didn’t have a chance to fall back asleep because it went on over an hour, finally I called the front desk who came and knocked on the door. They just laughed and went back at it. This time knocking off the rusty iron board from the wall. At this point I had no choice but to try to switch rooms. So I packed up my 6 days worth of items and moved 2 doors down at 5am. The front desk stated that she would leave a note for request for discount since it was such an experience after only being there 24 hours and having to move twice. Well a few days pass, we go to check out and the manager practically laughs at us stating “well the problem was solved wasn’t it” I was out of energy at this point and ready to go. I won’t be coming back. Not to mention the steps are an accident waiting to happen.Breakfast was good. View great. Bed comfy.

Great hotel with a friendly staff. The grounds and rooms are nice and clean. Parking can be a little tight as times.its close to Meny places to grab a bite to eat and have dock access. The price isn't to low but I think it fits the place.Noteworthy details: Has dock access for you boat.

Worst place to stay EVER!! The noise from traffic and outdated rooms. I honestly could've spent less elsewhere and it would've been better than what I experienced. The front desk clerk Tara was nice and very attentive!

The people are very friendly! Good service! But the room shown in the photo is not what we got. The one we saw had a kitchen counter and private balcony. The one we got was not private people kept walking by loudly and there was no counter. The window looked very dirty. But other than that the breakfast was great and the room was clean. You could definitely tell that it used to be a motel 6 or something. But the lake view was great and despite being right next to traffic our room was pretty quiet tho I think that's because we were facing the lake.7 out of 10 would stay here again.

My husband and I was told about this hotel with their great breakfast. Well we stayed here for two days. It wasn’t bad at all. I would have recommended this place. We left this morning everything was going great until we went to go check into our other hotel and we just found out the hotel charged us for another stay tonight. This is the last of our money we have. My husband and I have no money to stay Anywhere. We have called the front desk to see if we can get our money back or get the room they charged us for because we stayed we have no money to stay any where. The front desk lady can’t help us nor will help us with getting a hold of the manager tonight to help us get this issue fixed. I don’t understand how you can take somebody’s money and not give the service you charged for or give the money back on the same day. Even my bank called to help us get this transaction refunded but that was to no avail. All we get told is call tomorrow but my disabled veteran husband can not sleep in the car. So why is there no manager on Sunday’s ?

This is a typical 3 star hotel. It's an older hotel that has had some updates. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are some maintenance issues that need to be corrected. Room 205 the shower doesn't drain properly and the toilet handle has to be jiggled to stop running. The grout in the shower has some mold and failure areas. These are minor issues that can be corrected. The view is fantastic and the price is reasonable.

We stayed a night just to get out of Huntsville for a change of scenery.Overall, it's an older hotel, with upgraded features, next to the highway, with stunning (!) lake views.Note: If hotel was remodeled as some reviews have complained, prices would triple, bc the lakeside view is incredible.Don't think I'd be as happy on the highway side TBH bc of traffic noise.Got a king sized bed with a lake view.5= lake view ( sunset & sunrise,), outside each lakeside room is a mini semi-private cafe/ deck with a lake view, comfy bed & pillows, service, breakfast (!) with great lake views, & location in Guntersville ( so close to everything). There is also a walking deck, right on the lake, but we didn't go out there4= Rooms we're updated ( floors, sink, bath). HVAC was fine ... usually a sticking point with me3= Bathroom was on small side, but can't change that without massive remodel.Overall, I give my experience a "4+"Would like to return.Nearby activities: Close to restaurants & new City Harbor.

So I finally got a chance to stay at the Wyndham Garden Lake for my birthday! The hotel is okay and the staff was great! The room I had was located right in front of the River. The room was clean, nothing luxury of course; however , it is somewhere I will stay again!?Enjoy the photos!Noteworthy details: This hotel is located directly on the lake! Just remember you will have to book the room with a late view in order to wake up to see the sun shining on the lake!?

Decent breakfast with Wyndham hotel. The eggs were very good. The biscuits were delicious. The gravy is good, but not much sausage. I liked the cinnamon rolls. Everything was fresh. The coffee was a bit weak and you had to ask for it. It's nice to have it served, but 2nds were slow and I ultimately asked for another cup. NOTE: This restaurant is ONLY open for breakfast. Website says 24 hours. I submitted an update with the hours.

Great hotel simple clean and comfy. All the staff was super nice. Breakfast buffet was delicious as well. The road side rooms werent too noisy. Rooms have been renvoated but some things could still be updated just a bit. We stayed here after a double booking @ another location nearby was well worth it for an overnight stay. Had a nice looking pool area with cornhole, as well as a private dock overlooking the lake.

Well, where do I begin? My wife and I were here for 2 nights and believe me, that was 2 nights too many!It started when we walked into the room. Very spacious, I give it that. Large fridge (that was actually cold). I sat on the bed to change my shoes. I looked under the bench that was between the tv and the fridge and it CLEARLY had not been cleaned/swept. Dirt and dust were very obvious from where I was. I let it go and moved on. TV is WAY too small for a hotel in 2023.Bathroom was also very, very small. I hit my head on the shower rod I don't know how many times. This hotel is WAY outdated and in need of an overhaul. Breakfast was ok. I wanted toast but they don't have bread. Cinnamon rolls were killer though. We would not return as I think I could find better for the amount that we paid.
