Sorry and I don’t like giving a bad review. I was hoping on my first visit that I would find another good Chinese restaurant in Birmingham. I was near them & called in for a take out order. I had heard they were good. Asked the cashier if the spring rolls were fresh bc many times they are not at some other restaurants. She assured me they were so I trusted someone again. Both of them appeared they were prepared yesterday. Not fresh at all. Looked almost burned. The cashew chicken was not fresh either & bland. My wife says her steamed dumplings were ok but the dipping sauce was not as good as the other 2 places below. They do not have homemade sauces like the 2 places below. We recommended Black Pearl in the Collonade or Wok Express on Overton Rd. Very small places but much-much better Chinese Cuisine. Much Fresher and much better tasting food.

I went here for a late lunch today and the food came out cold. The egg roll felt hard as a rock. I let my server know and he brought me out a new egg roll - this one was soggy like it had been microwaved. My steamed pork dumplings arrived and they were also not hot. I asked the server to heat them and the second time he brought them out they were still not up to temperature. I sat with an empty glass half of my meal all while watching the wait staff doing lunges and laughing in the distance. I finally asked for my check and he did not even bring it to the table. There were literally two other tables that were sat in the entire place. Although in the past this has been one of my favorite places to get Asian food / I probably won’t go back :/

Best Chinese spot I've been to. So much variety and delicious food with large family sized portions. Quick service as well and free rice!

I made an order to go. Wait over 40 mins and finally got my food. They are busy but they should let people know what to expect.

I have been going there for years however lately it has become pretty dirty. I am aware that Chinese restaurants are not know for cleanliness but on my last visit I found Red Pearl to be quite nasty. It was so dirty that I could not enjoy my meal. I doubt I'll be back.

Some of the best Chinese in Birmingham. Our favorite approach is to not go at a peak time. If you do this, the service and food prep is fast and the dining area is quiet. Lovely environment, the lighting and decorations are very tasteful. We got the Homemade Pork Buns as an appetizer, they were delicious and authentic, slightly sweet fluffy buns with a savory and juicy stuffing. The Double Spicy Chicken is probably our favorite entree we've had so far, light and crispy breading, and a couple types of peppers. Awesome flavor. The spice went great with the Pork Buns. We also got Sauteed Sliced Pork Belly. It was really good too. Can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu.

Great food. Great service. Okay bathrooms. The booth seating feels a little unstable.
