“Ancho salmon bowl was a win tonight. I forgot to take a pic but it was so lovely! Unfortunately the signature stuff was subpar - ribs were overcooked; sausage and corn was bland, and the brisket quesadilla was just so-so. We'll come back but feeling sad that such a big plate was so mediocre.“
“Well deserved 5 stars, unfortunately I forgot to take photos but I assure you that we enjoyed it 100%.Our waitress was Esmeralda and she treated us wonderfully. The freshly made handmade tortillas are a plus, our orders were:-Chile stuffed steak.-Mixed fajita (exquisite shrimp).-Grilled chicken.-Roast meat.-Taco asada from the kids menu. The food dishes were plentiful and delicious.I recommend it with my eyes closed.“
“The service received was very good and the margaritas were on point! I highly recommend the Guacamole Casera as an appetizer. I had the Chicken Fajitas and my date tried the Fiesta Bowl, it was fantastic! The brightly decorated dining room and bar area just add to the ambiance. My only reason for not giving a five star review is due to it taking almost 30 minutes to receive our food after ordering. They were very busy and the server kept us stocked on drinks and chips and dip. Maybe after my next meal I can update to five stars!“
“Tacos El Guero is a food truck that sits in a Shell gas station. The service is a bit slow and a bit impersonal, but the food more than makes up for it.I chose three tacos and the total was just a bit over nine dollars after these and all. I went with a campechano taco, an asada taco and a carnitas taco. The campechano taco was by far my favorite. The carnitas taco would probably get my second choice and then the asada taco. But do not misunderstand, they all were excellent tacos. They also had a few tables under a tent of you want to dine there. Not the biggest ambiance, but it works. Since it was a chilly night in December, I ended up eating my feast in my car. This is a solid choice if you are craving some good Mexican food.I would definitely recommend this Mexican food truck and they definitely earned my recommendation. I will give here five stars overall.“
“If you are looking for "classic" American Tex Mex then this is the spot in Birmingham. I know it is a chain but the food is always good and if you are looking for Tex Mex then you aren't expecting fine dining. The drinks are a little lacking but again they meet your expectations. My server last trip wasn't great but the trip before that was excellent so it evens out a bit.“
“My very first management job was with Taco Casa Skyland Blvd location. I have always loved the food and everything about the place. Larry and Rod Wilkins did a great thing with Taco Casa. The only one in Birmingham is Lakeshore location and I frequent it regularly. Love Taco Casa!Wheelchair accessibility: Doors, ramps, amd restrooms“
“This place is a gem, it's not the cheapest restaurant in town but is one of the best value for money . They take pride in serving local organic food and will happily tweak dishes to suit your taste, allergies etc. We started with the quiche and a "bit of salad" which included mango, pomegranate, beetroot, peppers, avacado to name but a few. The result was amazing. My main course was strips of tuna served on asparagus with green beans and potatoes topped with a poached egg. I have stopped eating tuna in UK restaurants after some bad meals but this reminded me how good it can be. Being greedy we finished off with the famous chocolate brownie. Looking forward to the next meal there!“
“It’s nice to walk in, have the menu and you get to order your food, and go to your table. So it’s a different method of placing an order. Food is good, large portions, slightly salty, yet still delicious.Clean location. The outdoors and indoors are open into each other with the large windows opened up. Beautiful location.“
