A little slow on receiving our food and drinks/refills for lunch. Staff was extremely friendly though. Smoked chicken was very flavorful, we all enjoyed it. Didn’t care for the verde salsa but the chips were perfect. Queso was worth getting as well. Not sure if it’s worth returning but maybe we will give them another try for dinner.

Little Donkey was amazing today. The food was delicious and I cleaned my plate. I had the Picato Salad with Shrimp. It was very delicious. I can not wait to go back and try some more dishes they offer. There was not a wait and we were in and out. Even got to meet the Partner for the Hoover Location and looking forward to partnering with them on some outreach marketing!

Ate here on a whim coming out of Auburn, and was absolutely blown away! Amazing food, they do not joke about their commitment to freshness. Our waitress Phoebe was so sweet and very courteous, checking on us regularly and making sure we had very thing we needed. She even threw in chips and a sample platter of their house-made salsa free of charge! Overall, excellent joint, will most definitely be eating here again ?

The food is always great. On my last visit, they were obviously short staffed, so food and drinks took forever to be ordered and to arrive.The whole place is in need of a good and through cleaning! Dust everywhere and some cobwebs, too. Also, the women's restroom door's top hinge had come loose or been broken, so the door was incredibly difficult to close. It's a great location and space. They just need to do some regular maintenance.

Little Donkey was at Oak Mtn High school tonight. I’m a 66yo Grandmother and it was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! We got the brisket burrito bowl…best food EVER!!!

Ordered online. Said ready in 10 minutes. I wanted 30 until I got my food. I ordered half a chicken. The chicken was chopped in 4 strange pieces and way overcooked. Where is your original sauce? The salsa had no flavor.Bad

We are in town from Philly, and we come about once a year. We’ve been here two years in a row. The food and environment is amazing. If you’re looking for an aesthetically on point place to relax, have a good time, and enjoy some great Mexican food (with a cool BBQ fusion flare) you should DEFINITELY check this place out. We’ve had pretty much everything on the menu, and it’s all excellent. The fajitas are huge portions, and perfectly cooked. Make sure to try a burrito - but “dirty” style - which is, covered in a queso/salsa mix. House salsas are excellent. Also a standout is the brisket queso! If you’re on the fence, take the jump and try this place. You won’t regret it! Can’t wait for next year… to try the dessert (which I didn’t get to try) - soft serve with optional toppings such as chamoy, dulce de leche, and cornflakes. Outstanding! Also, our server was SO nice. Her name was Bri - she made us feel right at home. All the staff, including the owner, were excellent! ?

I'm pleasantly surprised, not your typical Mexican restaurant. I asked the server to surprise me ( which I do periodically), and she jumped at the chance! Be adventurous in your dining experience, live on the edge!

Placed a catering order for an office lunch and the team at Little Donkey went above and beyond!! They were quick to respond to questions, the food was packed well for pickup, and they even added in some extras to help make sure my teammate was well-celebrated for her birthday. I’ll definitely be eating here (and catering from here) again!
