This place has one of the best kimchi fried rice I've eaten and one of the best chicken wings I've had too.. Sometimes the food takes awhile to serve but only because it's made from fresh ingredients everyday it's a family owned business and they try to keep the food feeling home made. The chicken wings are so good they crunch in every bite and the taste is so good the way they mix the seasoning and the flavor it's absolutely amazing. I'm not a big fan of how the indoor seating it's kind of too closed for me and not enough windows, I would rather sit outside if I'm dining here. But other than that I absolutely love their food and I would get food for take out and eat it at home, authentic homemade korean food lives here.

This place was surprisingly delicious, despite the menu photos looking unappetizing. I really enjoyed the hot stone bibimbap a lot and the dak galbi was also quite spicy and tasty. Sitting on the patio and enjoying our food was nice too. Definitely going to return regularly!

I'm a military Veteran that spent 7 of my 21 years of Service in Korea and absolutely fell in love with the food. A fellow Vet and I visited this restaurant for the first time and I was greatly disappointed. I ordered the beef and leaf but when it came to the table it was not at all what I expected so i immediately apologized and asked the waitress to take it back. I also asked if I could order something else. The owner comes up and proceeds to tell me that I had to pay for the dish because I ordered it. I don't pay for what I don't consume. When I asked her if I could have something different, she proceeded to tell me I can pay for what I ordered and pay again if I wanted something different. My friend chose to pick up the check this time but I told her to inform the waitress that the checks were separate after such a hostile display. We were shocked. My friend already had her food and I told her it was ok for her to eat it. She paid the check with a military discount- no tip - and we left. I had to catch myself and remember I'm in Alabama. I'll stick with I Love Korea on Jordan Lane. I enjoyed that and the service was great. I'll never return to Big O's that's for sure.

I enjoyed it. First time there. Once I saw the menu I noticed Korean &/or Korean/Asian inspired food. Very good. Relaxed atmosphere. Caring staff.

A friend chose this restaurant. I am not sure I would have ever picked it. If you are on the fence...GO. I cant stop telling people how good it was. I got the Bibim Bap, my friend got the spicy pork and leaf, and we got an order of dumpling. The dumplings were great. Our food came out and my friend got the wrong thing they gave her the spicy pork platter instead of the leaf but she decided to just keep it. Mine was beyond amazing. Everything about it was yummy!!! My friend liked the pork but it was a bit to spicy for her taste. She had asked if it could be less spicy but because of the way its marinaded they can make it hotter but not less spicy. The service was ok. The woman that waited on us was brand new, applied that day and started that day. She tried and if she didn't know an answer for us she made sure she got one. The atmosphere was nice sitting out on the square.

We've only been here once so far, but the food was very good. My wife had chicken fried rice. It wasn't very heavily seasoned, and made with a sticky rice that was really good. I had the wings with the "Korean BBQ sauce" on them, they were fantastic. Perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, and the sauce was delicious. Very messy though, bring some wet naps if you're going for the wings!

I always go back to big Oh’s for their Short ribs entree and salad! Also their chicken wing appetizer was stunning, must try!!! I don’t know much about other dishes because these dishes are so good that I order them every time I was there. The owner Ms. Oh is really cool and seems passionate about her business for her car tag is bigohs lol

Interesting mix of foods like a kimchi pancake. We've been a couple times and the food is always good.

Excellent Korean food in the heart of Huntsville. Very informal, friendly, intimate setting perfect for a quick bite, takeout, date, and also with an upstairs good for families.

I was disappointed with my Korean food. I spent two years in Korea, and love pulgogi, but the pulgogi I got here was the most bland pulgogi I’ve ever eaten. The meat hadn’t really been marinated in sesame seed oil, soy sauce, gaelic, ginger, sugar, vinegar, pear, et. al., or if it had, there was very little of it on the meat I got. The portion was generous enough, although there weren’t very many side dishes except for two with one being the expected kimchi. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, but I don’t think I will go back because I wasn’t that impressed with the taste of my pulgogi. Because downstairs seating was limited, my friend decided to eat at an outside table although she has issues with too much sun. Even though it was a pretty humid day, it was kind of nice watching daily life on the downtown square. My other complaint is with the couple of flies that kept buzzing around our food which we continually had to fight off. Lately when I’ve eaten out at restaurants, I have regretted it because what I’ve been getting served has been pretty mediocre food. What is the point of going out to eat if the food isn’t worth it? Since this restaurant has gotten such good reviews, with their speciality being Korean food, I expected this dish to be prepared correctly. I took my leftovers home and added the seasonings I listed above to it when I ate it and the taste was much improved. Maybe others who have never been to Korea don’t know what Korean food is supposed to taste like, but I do and I expected better.

I cannot believe it took me as long as it did to try this place out. I've been twice now in the same week. It's fantastic. Get the yakimandu (pork and veggie dumplings) - some of the best fried dumplings I've ever had. The dipping sauce is outstanding. My favorite part about the open kitchen was watching the woman, who I'm assuming is the owner, run the line. She does a great job expediting - it was fun to watch her take care of business while I waited for my food. I'll be back!

Big Oh’s is truly a hidden gem in downtown Huntsville. The beer was cold and the food was hot and fresh! The veggie Shrimp pancake was crisp in the best way possible and the flavor was spot on! The bulgogi was dry, it needed more sauce. The kalbi short ribs were amazing! They were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back to Big Oh’s!
