My wife and I stopped in for dinner this evening and had a meal that knocked Conners down a few pegs. She had chicken piccata and I had Parmesan crusted halibut, both of which were coated in the same extremely salty lemon sauce. Too salty to eat. We have always loved Conners creamed spinach but no more. Instead of the rich flavored Asiago flavor we expected, we got a watered down cream sauce that did not seem to have any cheese in it. Very disappointed. The manager on duty told us they were trying a new recipe. It was a big fail in our book. When my wife’s replacement dish, chicken parm, suffered a different round of flavor deficiency, tasting more like ragu than the full flavored red sauce we are used to. We’ve had better food at the mall food court. I didn’t get the sense that the MOD understood food quality. Conners must have had the B team working this evening. We may try again next year. Maybe not.

Why bother with reservations? Like a Seinfeld episode, we had a reservation, but there is no table available. Arrived early, then our reservation time came due, but no table available. Eventually we were seated in the booth that was empty for the last half hour. Crowds without reservations were seated while we waited. Waitstaff and Bar Tenders were fine, but first impressions are not great. I’d recommend other steak houses that honor reservations over Connors.

My family and I LOVE this restaurant! We stopped by this evening, to take our 10 year old daughter for her first visit and she really enjoyed it! My husband and I had the chicken linguine, with a side of mashed potatoes. My daughter had the chicken piccata. And of course we had to have my absolute favorite dessert, the strawberry shortcake! The ambience was very cozy and romantic. And our server, Katie was very friendly and accommodating!Kid-friendliness: There were kid friendly meal options and the environment was inviting for older children.
Ah yes, where Redstone middle management goes to be self important and violate every opsec training ever delivered. Great place to soak in DoD info while avoiding the reality of overpriced and buttered food.Tolerable flavor and quality, but 15-20% overpriced.
