I got the shrimp basket which had fries and shrimp, about $20 without drink. It was just the right amount of shrimp but enough fries to feed an army. ? Recommend they take away some fries and add hush puppies or another side. For the money the shrimp basket was too expensive for what you get. I will return and try some of the less expensive items. Very friendly staff!

Best food in Huntsville. Don't be fooled by the gas station. One of this city's best kept secrets.

I am generally not one to eat at gas stations. I have nothing against them, it is just that they aren't part of my normal pattern for eating. New Orleans Lunchbox is the only one to get into my lunch rotation list. And I am told everything is good there, but I have never gotten past the Jambalaya. The first time I went I bought a quart because I was in a hurry and have never gotten past it on the menu because it is so good. It is thick with a variety of meats and some heat that gives it a little kick without any tears or need for buttermilk to sooth the burn. These people make a tasty mix for Jambalaya. It is at Holmes and Jordan which is easy access from Redstone or Research park and they do have some seating, but I always get mine to go and eat it on teleconferences. Great stuff. Great people. Definitely worth the stop.

Let’s start off by saying I’ve ate here multiple times and the food is always amazing.I usually come in way after they open but today was different. I walked up 5 minutes before they were suppose to open and the old man working was super rude to me and the other worker. He kept yelling at the host not to take our order yet even though she had already told me they didn’t open till 11.I was looking forward to getting some food from here today but after I heard how rude he was about not being ready to be open yet I’m gonna go somewhere else with better customer service.Note to old man. Maybe you’re having a bad day but learn to take that up with yourself and stop treating people around you bad cause of something you don’t know how to deal with

Celebrating Huntsville Restaurant Week. Been planning to go here for some time, finally made it today. For me, it did not meet my expectations. Four diners, four New Orleans Sampler Plates. Gumbo was thin and watery - was spicy though. Jambalaya was a lot of rice - missing flavor. Red beans and rice was ok, again missing a depth of flavor. Did get a chunk of ham. Sausage was unremarkable. Staff is nice and works at a good pace to get the food out. Popular with a lot of people too - nice lunch crowd.

I too was hesitant about food from a gas station. You won't regret it! The ribs, white bbq sauce, jambalaya, gumbo and etouffee were all delicious. Highly recommend!

Food was terribleLook like someone chewed before me. Got the roast beef po boy disgusting. Bread was rock hard. The meat gravy mix was super salty could not eat it.Not how we serve it in New Orleans.

This is the best Cajun food in Huntsville. The brisket is also the best; however, the service is sub par.

How this place isn't its own standalone restaurant is beyond. The food is amazing! And the workers are great.

I was a bit worried about eating in a gas station/food mart but I was pleasantly surprised. Good quick food. The guys running the place are friendly enough. Not a fancy place but clean. My pulled pork sandwich was the perfect size. I don't like getting so much meat you can't pick up the sandwich. We also got the Hillbilly burrito. It was also good. Definitely recommend this place.
