I loved this restaurant. I am sorry it closed. I even got my meat and potatoes husband to enjoy Indian food. The service was excellent, and the food was genuine and delicious. Hope you open a new restaurant in Huntsville.

Best Indian in Huntsville and most likely one of the best you'll have. I didn't really want to write a review, as often too much exposure and business can negatively impact the quality of the restaurant. That being said it's just too good.. from the service to the food and the welcoming owners; it's great. Definitely can't go wrong with Ruchi

We ordered the Gubi Manchuria, garlic naan. Butter chicken & the Tkka masala chicken. The medium was pretty spicy, but super flavorful. I got mild & it was perfect. The chicken was so tender, cut with a fork. Everything was yummy. No time for pics, sorry. It was too good & we were too hungry. Will definitely be going back & supporting this local hot spot!

Extremely disappointed, me and my friend were instantly given an attitude as soon as we walked in.It took them 20 minutes to take our order and there was only three other tables . The lamb samosas tasted like cafeteria food. The naan was burnt and my butter chicken tasted like spicy tomato sauce do not recommend.

Amazing range of flavors, from the naan to curry and biryani. I had chicken, my wife had lamb, both were large enough servings to have leftovers for lunch the next day. Will definitely return !

Fresh, delicious traditional Indian dishes, with ample portions served. Each entree had unique flavors, sauces were creamy and tangy but not overly spicy. The Peshwari naan and varied vegetarian curries were especially delicious. The restaurant was a very casual, average diner-style establishment, but was clean and perfect for a savory lunch! Our server was friendly and attentive and we will definitely go back soon!

This was a tough place to review. The food was good, but not fantastic. The service was great, but the decor/ambience was pretty much nonexistent. I might be spoiled because I'm from Nashville and we have some great Indian restaurants here, but I had high hopes for a bit more ambience. On the food side, we left very full and the food was flavorful. However I will probably have to return to sample more of the menu to truly get a good representation of the quality of that flavor. On the plus side, The restaurant was about 3/4 full... So there is certainly interest in this kind of cuisine in Huntsville. I just hope they upped their game a little bit and make it a little bit more authentic visually. That goes a long way for me.

Easily the best Indian fare in town. I lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, where I was surrounded by excellent Indian cuisine. Ruchi is equal to, or even better than, many of the Indian restaurants in the 2nd largest metropolis in the US. My favorites here are the veggie samosas, garlic naan, and chicken korma. Have never had a bad dish here, and the servers are very friendly. Delicious, authentic flavor profiles and reasonable prices for the large portion size.

We’d never had Indian before, so we were told to try ruchi. 10/10 would recommend. David was our server and he was super knowledgeable and recommended great dishes. The butter chicken and garlic naan were a definite fave. If you like lamb, theirs is so tender. We got extra naan to take home and will definitely be back for a date night or with the kiddos. Loved everything about it.

This place has the best Indian food in town! Service was really good too. I will definitely eat here again. I had the Dal Tadka w naan, Kerman samosa & Raita!

I can't say anything about the food but the customer service is so poor that we will not go back to find out. We've tried to go to Ruchi twice now and had to walk about before ordering. We were never greeted when we walked in, simply glanced at a few times for a good 15 minutes before we walked out. They seemed busy with to go orders and understaffed (like everyone else right now) all of which is totally understandable. But to not receive ANY recognition that we walked in the door and would be helped at any point is just bad customer service and very disappointing. Anyway they seemed busy enough and I'm sure losing our business means very little to them, but I'd rather put my money towards someone that cares about their customers.

This is exactly what we've been craving! The samosas were delicious & so filling but I had to indulge in the butter chicken as well. It was all so amazing & full of flavor. Add some garlic naan & the meal is complete!

We ordered Ruchi for delivery. It was an excellent meal, my wife got the Chicken Tikka Masala (mild), I got the Butter Chicken (medium) and we split an order of garlic Naan; both entrees actually had some notable spice to them, they were delicious though. The entrees came with a hearty serving of delicious rice. I will absolutely order from Ruchi again, their food was fantastic.m; however, do yourself a favor and call the restaurant to arrange for takeout, we saw the original restaurant receipt $34 (a great price) the delivery fee and app up charge brought our total to $50! Support your local business, just call them directly to arrange your takeout!

This was our first time at Ruchi. They recently opened and are apparently not affiliated with the other Ruchi on Whitesburg. We arrived at about 7:15pm and were seated. There were a few tables full. We decided to try the vegetarian lentil soup, cheese naan, lamb rogenjosh and tandoori chicken. I also got the masala chai. Everything was delicious. I even noted that the naan had spices inside of the bread. They used a god variety of spices and the flavors of everything were really good. I had half of my chicken to take home. My only disappointment was that the tandoori dishes didn't come with rice, only the meat. So keep that in mind.

I was craving Indian food for my birthday and found there weren't many places to choose from in Huntsville. Of the 3 results I saw Ruchi had the best yelp rating and I went with it. I was not disappointed I ordered the chicken tikka, lamb Rogan josh, palak paneer, fried okra and roti. All of it was delicious and tasted just as I was expecting. It was served with a nice big bowl of rice on the side. The fried okra was the dish that stood out to me the most because it was the first time I tried it and I was full of amazing flavor. I really enjoy family style dining that Indian food offers and I was completely happy with my food experience along with the friendly service. When I want Indian food I will definitely be back to Ruchi. I would like to check out their buffet next time.
