My aunt & I stopped in a little after lunch.yesterday (it was to late to say lunch time but to early to be considered dinner time) She ordered 2 piece of fried chicken, yams, pinto beans, cornbread, carrot cake for dessert. I had the pig feet, collard greens, yams, cornbread & blackberry cobbler. We both order a Mt. Dew drink & must say the Mt. Dew was the only good thing we had. Our order was $40 & some change.The chicken was okay at best. Everything else had absolutely NO seasoning, No flavor. Damn shame bc I was so looking forward to some good home cooked, soul food while I was in town. Boy was I disappointed! The collards green taste like they were boiled in plain water & nothing else. The cornbread was cold & dry. The carrot cake was stale. Blackberry cobbler was a bitter mush. They were very Unorganized & 1 gentlemen came from the back of the establishment fixed himself a little boil of neckbones (the last of the neckbones too) & walked to back. We was told we could dine in BUT we had to take the food outside,walk round the back of the building, into this little hold in the wall bar/club & seat ourself. No one acknowledged us as we walked in or out. The only reason I gave this establishment one star is because there wasn't a half star. After all that we left still hungry (they do give decent size portions). And if all this wasn't bad enough, the little bit of food we ate ended up upsetting our stomach. I WOULDN'T recommend this place to my family & friends. And I definitely WILL NOT returning.

First time trying it. Food was ok. The only complaint is that hair was in my to go box, so that kind of ruined it, but worth a try, just check your food before you eat it.

I had to try the "best fried chicken" in Huntsville. Nothing really stood out other than the grease was burnt and took away from the taste. I'll have to try it again some other time. The other side order and bread were delicious.

Pretty subpar food. Baked chicken was dry and flavorless, yams were good and potato salad was bland.They also didnt have ribs or mashed potatoes even though they weren't busy at all and hadn't been open 30 mins. Very disappointed.

Just throw the WHOLE place away when the mac & cheese is watery and boxed or frozen!!!!!!! Lemon pepper chicken WAS NOT lemoned or peppered!!!!! Charged us for "dressing" when we didn't ask for it, a dollar extra or not! Wasn't even a table spoon full... forgot to put two of our sides with our order, had to come back out. Greens wasn't all that. Waste of money!!! Isn't an ounce of "soul" in that place when it comes to flavor! ?? waste of money! Unless it needs new mngmt, idk how this place has the reviews rating it has. The order taker was paying more attention to conversations than taking orders. ?♀️?♀️?♀️
