After all these years I finally tried the famous Terry's Pizza. Ugh. How is this place still in business?I hate giving bad reviews. I really do. I'm not a very confrontational sort of guy. However, sometimes harsh criticism is needed to bring improvement.Okay, so, full disclosure, I am a pizza expert with years of experience in the pizza business. My opinion may be a bit more critical than the average person's.I went inside to have a look. The place is dark and looks dirty. It might actually be clean, but it doesn't look clean. The crew are all disheveled and sloppy in appearance. Most of them are in what passes for a uniform tee shirt, but not all, and they're all very scruffy looking with wild hair and a few face piercings. Everyone was very friendly, though, and gave good service.Moving on ...I looked at the buffet. The pizzas on the buffet looked terrible. I decided to instead order a regular whole pizza, figuring the results would be better.They weren't. I got a buffet quality pizza in a box.So....First of all, the crust was pretty much a cracker. It was paper thin and hard and crunchy and flavorless. Some people like that, so I guess I can't complain too much about that.The cheese and toppings were actually very tasty. They got that right. Quite good. They could have put more on, though. I ordered onions and had to really search to find any.The sauce, though?Absolutely flavorless. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised to find that they just used basic tomato sauce and watered it down. The sauce really tasted very watery, and was thin & runny. I couldn't find any herbs or spices or anything in it that could have given it any flavor or texture.That said, I might have caught them on a bad day. Maybe they were simply out of pizza sauce and had to try to improvise a quick replacement. I hope that's the case, because if that's their normal sauce, I am mystified with wonder regarding how they get any repeat business.I ate two slices in the store, then gave up on it. I took the rest home to see if I could make some improvements to salvage it. The results of that were passable, I suppose. It didn't need too much work to be much better.I don't know what the problem is with Terry's Pizza, but I hope they find and correct it very soon.I will retract this review and give a better one if they do.So, Terry's, the first thing to do is get real & better pizza sauce. That one thing should improve things very dramatically, giving some very badly needed flavor to your pies. Seriously, that alone could get you one, maybe two more stars.

Ordered a tossed salad and all it was is spinach, cheese, tomato. No lettuce whatsoever. Crust was hard and burnt. It was recommended by Dale Jackson, so I made the trip from Madison. Won’t be ordering again.

Don't buy pizza here if you need gluten free due to celiac or intolerance. I won't deduct stars for atmosphere because we ate it as delivery. The service was fine given that, pizzas were hot, fresh, and timely.The good: deep dish pizza was delicious for those eating non-gf pizza.The bad: the second pizza we ordered was gluten free, and it was cross contaminated. Anyone with celiac knows it's not something you know about when you are eating. You find out later, and it's extremely painful. It was the only novel food tried, so definitely the source. I wish there'd been a note about the likelihood of cross contamination, I'd have tried somewhere else to avoid risking my child being in pain for hours.Dietary restrictions: Not a good option if you're wary over gluten cross contamination.

Well when I resided in hsv years ago. Terry's Pizza was on Governors Dr. Unfortunately I never ate their "big mistake " So once I heard a Terry's Pizza that has buffet I was excited to go. Disappointing, no fresh pizza Cici's has a better variety. The salad bar bare naked and the photos were basically false advertisement. Highly disappointed, but when a fresh pie came out it was good,but I just know that cannot be the legendary Terry's Pizza. I wish I had experienced the original place on Governors Dr.
It's a pizza place. Atmosphere is just that, but we had a lovely time there.Service was a little slow, but ok.Pizza was great. Beer selection small but decent.

My husband & I ordered off a board they had hanging above the counter. We ordered a 3 meat pizza. We had just walked in & wasn't offered a menu, so we thought our choices were either a pizza or calzones. My husband also ordered a beer from the tap. The beer came in a plastic cup. The pizza came in a timely fashion. It was pretty good. Had a lot of thick cheese, plenty of meat & a thin crust. It was also made NY style with the oil dripping off of it.Parking: It's on a little strip mall. There is parking right there & if all else fails there is a major parking lot adjacent.

Our all meat calzones were smaller than our veggies and pepperoni. When we left they asked us how it was and we explained to them how we got skimpt on our all meat calzones. They said that they make the all meat smaller because you don't get as much meat & ingredients. So they admitted to skimping on purpose. When we got invited back because they messed up our previous order so bad it was unedible. It was perfect and very plump with a bunch of toppings made the right way but tonight it was burnt with undercooked dough and they admitted to making it smaller with less ingredients on purpose. We will not come back even if you "make it right" because 95% of the time it is made wrong. They have jacked the price up and giving you less. It used to be so good.. they have lost it!
