I dined in with my wife and ordered the regular steak sandwich. It was delicious, but it needed to be hotter. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. The service was awesome, and the banana pudding tasted great! The owners are wonderful people; well, Ms. Mary is for sure. ;)

Quaint establishment with really good food. Kinda on the smallish side but the food makes up for it. Not my first visit and certainly not my last.Vegetarian options: Quite a few dishes for the meatless fan so enough to satisfy.Parking: Fairly large lot so not a problem to find a space.

Solid choice for BBQ and ahead of the curve compared to numerous other local joints. My in-laws recommended and it did not disappoint. Friendly counter-order style and neat repurposed interior with 10 4-tops seating. Prob does more to-go business. Prices little on the steep side (BBQ plate + 2 sides/drink $16), but what is affordable these days--ya' know??

OK. I’m giving some props to Alabama for smoking some great Brisket! Big portions, counter service, perfect Brisket and smoked wings and the sides are killer too. The corn casserole has a kick to it and was like none I’ve ever had. So good. If you’re in Jasper then give Son’s Smokehouse a visit.
I was in Jasper for a month on business from Texas. I was feeling homesick, and heard about this place and decided to stop in and try their marbled brisket sandwich, potato salad, and pineapple pudding.This was some of the best brisket I’ve ever had, their sauce was amazing, the potato salad was on point with a dab of sauce in it, and the pineapple pudding was delightful.The staff was super friendly, and made me want to stay in Jasper just a little bit longer.I will be back.
