Don't usually go to Applebee's but I'm glad I did! The food was yummy and reasonably priced, restaurant was clean. Shayla was our waitress and she was excellent! Ask to be seated in her section for great service! I'll come back.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu has great options! Shayla, our waitress, was especially great with my 4 yr old.

I wish I had taken pictures, but I wont forget how much we enjoyed our meal. We have lived in Madison for about 25 years. Over that time we have tried Applebees on and off and have just never been impressed. Someone gave us a gift card recently so we decided to try again. We ordered takeout.We got the 2 for $25 deal. Spinach and artichoke dip, White Cheddar Chicken and 6 oz sirloin steak. Sides were garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and coleslaw.The chicken was some of the most tender we have ever had at a restaurant. The steak was cooked perfectly, which is very unusual since I like my steak rare. Typical of sirloin it was full of gristle, but flavorful. Sides were great!Only thing I would have a minor complaint about is that the coleslaw was put inside the same container as the hot food. The outside of the separate coleslaw cup had to be wiped off and if we didnt live really close, I would not have eaten it out of concern for food safety.We are looking forward to our next meal from this restaurant and hoping this will make us feel the same since it is such a convenient location for us.

I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea with no ice and they brought me back a half filled glass. I mentioned it to the manager and he told me that's how it's served when asked without ice. I have been to restaurants in many states and never been told that before! That is what I call poor service!

Service was good. Fries had not taste and shrimp was overcooked. Ribs were all sauce. Boneless chicken were basic with a bunch of sauce thrown on them.
Asked for a booth with window seat and the hostess replied, “No”. There were several open booths at 2 p.m. on a Saturday and she sat us at a table so we got up and left. Terrible black hostess with an attitude. We visit the Applebees in Madison AL about 2 times a week and this was the 1st time we were displeased. Mgt needs to know their face representing them needs fired.

The atmosphere is always great and the staff is amazing.Parking: There are parks all around the buildingKid-friendliness: This location caters to the little ones as well. They have kids menu, coloring activities, high chairs, and just family friendly.

It was a slow servicelsewhere! With customers just slow. The food quality wasn't the best, there were black chunks of potato in the mashed potatoes ( see photo) and when we brought it to the waiters attention he took it back to the kitchen. when he returned he offered another scoop of the same potatoes, they didn't offer to comp the meal or a discount for the obviously spoiled or subpar food. The burgers were cooked well as was the salmon, but if the mindset of the management at their store is to just shove poor quality food out to the customer what else are they allowing ro happen where you can't see it. We will not return to this restaurant, there are too many around to risk the food poisoning. Save yourself the distress and go eslsewhere! Corporate should visit this store SOON, it's tarnishing the Applebee's imagine.
