This place was awesome. Great food with great flavors, good service, reasonable prices. We went their at least once a week, and the place was packed nine times out of 10. But on the night of 2/28/22 they posted on their Facebook page that due to the effects of COVID, they were closing effective immediately. On the surface, it makes no sense... COVID is winding down, the place was almost always crowded, and they didn't seem to suffer with staffing shortage like some restaurants have. But closed they are. Their other location, 20 miles away in Hunstville, remains open. But there are a lot of Mex places between here and there. One of them has to have the same type of awesome flavors. So, what was a regular thing for us will now be a once in a while thing. Oh, well. I just hope their crew lands on their feet.

Returned a few weeks ago after a long C19 absence. Just as good as B4. My beef (fajita) was tasty & tender which means the meat was cut out RIGHT. The portion was plentiful. Good $ value, post C19 of course. Will go back & tell our friends about liking the place.

Everything here is great except for the place refuses to fix their customer WIFI connection. I have asked them for several months to fix this!

We use to go at least once a week, but we will never go again. The bartender Leslie was so rude to my husband. We didn't get drinks or chips for over 25 min. The guy next to use came in after and was finished with his food before one of ours came out. When I mine did it was wrong and my husband asked where was his, the server had just mine and Leslie chimed in and said he only has two hands. They don't have trays or she couldn't have followed him the rest. She went making rude remarks. So we left and will never go back!

I was greeted immediately by a friendly host as I walked in. I took my seat with my other diners, the waiter took my order very quickly, a top shelf margarita, and received it within about 5 minutes. It was well made, a bit sweet, so I added lime, and then it was perfect. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos; it comes with 3, and they were amazing. Compared to other places with Al Pastor tacos, the portions were a bit small, and it was $12.99. The flavors were so great that I would get them again and pay the money, but not as often. The service was great, and the food came out fast. We all enjoyed our evening out here and would definitely return.

This has become our favorite Mexican place in the area. Menu is somewhat limited but the food always seems fresh and well prepared. Their beef has a great flavor. Tried the trio of quesadillas (they are a smaller size than normal) and found them to be delicious. Top shelf margarita is very good. Service was friendly and timely.

I do understand and take into consideration that all eating establishments are understaffed and I am very patient. However, while visiting this restaurant the waitress took my order and I never got my food. Another customer order the exact same thing and they received their food promptly. She brought it out after I said something but how long had it sat there before she tried to serve it to me. Won't be returning here.

My church family and I (8of us)had dinner here December 19th around 6:45.Let's start with the atmosphere. Very warm, vibrant and welcoming. The hostess said there would be a 15 minute wait, which turned out to be about ten minutes. We were seated. We waited another 15 minutes to have our drink orders taken. Our total time from seating to leaving was approximately an hour and a half.Long story short, the server did all she could do to provide top notch service. She had our party of eight and another party of 10 or more. The food was great but the service was lacking. There seemed to be no team work at all. This poor girl was running her legs off serving these two parties. All in all it was alright. Service could have been better if everyone were working together.

Love the Madison location I've visited the Cullman one but I really love the staff at this Madison location. And the food was just right

The food at Buena Vista (two words actually) is a very good example of classic Mexican/American food. The service was very friendly attentive and prompt. We never ran out of iced tea, chips and salsa. I ordered their infamous Buena Vista Guacamole! (Tip not an actual molé ie mashed or puréed) a delicious mix of diced avocado, tomato, and onion. But it doesn't end there; mixed in with this is chunks of juicy pork carnitas. That could almost be enough but there's also a generous amount of nicely prepared shrimp! My one issue is: the dish was well presented with tostada chips. The chips, however had lost their crispness. Having worked in professional kitchens, clearly the chips go on just before the food goes out. A small thing ... maybe. But an important one if you're interested in customer satisfaction. Ultimately not a problem since our waiter was making sure we didn't run out of chips and salsa. Nonetheless my dish was very good to the extentI know I'll be coming back! The food at Buena Vista is a very good representation of delicious Mexican American food! Four Solid Stars

It was ok. Chips seemed a little stale and salsa was ok. Service was off and they weren't that busy. Got my combo wrong but we were in a rush and couldn't wait to fix. Nice place and decorated for the holidays.

A good choice for Mexican in Madison. The food is good, and the service mostly good. The hostess literally stretched out on the reception counter and lay her head and arms on it like some teenager waiting for her mother to pick her up after school in a moment of boredom. Just bizarre. But, the food is carefully prepared and promptly served, well seasoned, and quality.

The chips and salsa were excellent. My husband and son loved their burritos. I found the steak fajitas to be meh. The steak was nicely seasoned, if not the best cut, and the rice and beans were good but the peppers weren't cooked enough and there was a weird undertone to the flavors that I couldn't put my finger on. I definitely wouldn't order the fajitas again and I'd probably choose somewhere else for my Mexican food since there are plenty of better options in the area.
