This place is the worst! Have ordered through Grubsouth twice and both times i get a call from Grubsouth saying Smokeys are closed.

I went to Smokey's during lunch today, and ordered a large rib plate; unfortunately when I got home...the ribs I thought I was going to sink my teeth in were shredded pork instead. I wasn't able to return to return to Smokey's until I got off work, and to my surprise...they were closed as I tried to tugged on the door. I then drove around to the drive-thru window because I saw an employee car till parked out back; again to my surprise no one was at the window. I decided this time to drive up to the drive-thru sign where you place your order, and hopefully someone inside will notice a car outside. Luckily, this time the owner and his son were literally walking out of the building and I began to explain what had happened with my order. The owner listen intensively, and apologized for the mishap with my order, then went back inside and accommodated me with more than I had expected (a full slab of rib), for my troubles. I had expressed to him and his son that "you don't receive that type of customer service anymore"!!! A lot of place you go to will express how sorry they are...but going that extra mile to make what was wrong right just doesn't happen anymore.Besides the great customer service you receive here...he food is great!!!Thank you so much!!!! (5-star).

The food was so good! We ordered loaded BBQ potatoes and enjoyed them very much. It's one of the only BBQ places you can get fried food. They have fried okra.4 stars because They are a bit slow on getting order to you and they forgot the BBQ sauce.

First time here, and the food was beyond our expectations. We had chicken sandwiches with baked beans and potato salad, and a side of blackberry cobbler. They have the recipes down. Bbq sauce was on point. Def wasn't expecting this to taste so good and so familiar. Just want to go in there and give everybody a hug, taste like a family BBQ lol..

My Dad and I LOVE this place. Catered it for my birthday back in February and had a large order. Everything was amazing. The smoked pulled chicken/beef/pork, cornbread, rolls, sides, everything. I cannot stand reheated meat for some reason. It always tastes foul and rubbery. But when having leftovers from Smokey's it was as good as the day I got it, so you know it's good. 10/10. Thank you for making my birthday and the 3 following days amazing!

I ordered the half chicken plate, baked beans and potato salad was great. Corn bread is heavenly. Chicken is blah, doesn't taste smoked at all. It taste more like baked chicken. Love the sides though.

I ordered the brisket sandwich combo with the onion rings and pop. Sandwich was good, just could have used a little more brisket for the money.

Smokey's has been my favorite BBQ restaurant for over 20 years. I've eaten there hundreds of times and used them to cater numerous events. Unfortunately the last 5 times I have been there have been a complete disappointment. They are making bbq sandwiches way in advance and letting them sit on the warmer which turns the bun into cardboard. Also the fries are never cooked correctly. Usually cold and old but today they were uncooked. Each time I return the food to the counter and they replace it with something better, but now I am tired of doing that and just won't go anymore. It's a sad day.
