Stopped in and had a fantastic lunch! The chicken sandwich with cheese, peppers, and onions was as delicious as always. It started off rainy and cool today but the sun came out and it was so enjoyable having lunch on the patio.

Here for mardi gras.Great family owned restaurant. Owner is awesome. If you dont come here, why come to Mobile. Party is on even after even at opening. Menu is great. Try the bacon maple cream cheese dip with your pretzel.

We tried 219 for lunch today and it was fantastic. The quality of the food was excellent - really fresh. We had the Tuscan eggplant wrap and the crispy chicken wrap; both were really good. The potato salad was also very good.

This establishment failed miserably after we were asked to move to another table in a less desirable spot next to the bar, just so another party could be seated at the small booth where we had been originally seated, and we had already ordered our meals.I definitely do not recommend this business!

We had the nicest lunch here last week. The food is great, we both had the lasagna and it was awesome, but what I most remember is how very nice the staff was. I felt bad because when we got there I had a little trouble with my wheelchair getting in the door, (my fault not theirs) and I accidentally ran over the toes of the young waiter who was holding the door for me. I felt awful, but they were very nice about everything. Really, really just nice people, doing great work in a very pleasant little restaurant. I recommend 219 very highly.

Wonderful little place we stopped in for lunch while visiting downtown Mobile! The staff and the owner were ultra-friendly ---we even got a complimentary glass of wine because they were taking pictures for a promotion they were doing. The food was fresh and hot.... I would definitely recommend it!

Look, I don't even want to write this review but I am hoping it brings some things to light to help this restaurant improve. Within the last 2-3 years I have eaten at 219 sporadically and each time it seemed to decline. It is the closest restaurant to our office so several of us gave 219 more than a few chances, for convenience sake. In the past I tried the gumbo, which was pretty awful, it was more like an italian seasoned soup, one of our coworkers found a sauce bag nozzle in his salad, the meat on the roast beef sandwich was pretty gross, but hey...stuff happens right?So when 219 closed for a bit and reopened we thought maybe it was under new ownership? or at least a new chef or standards? I ventured out today and unfortunately it is no better. I ordered a half soup and salad, allergic to tomatoes asking to leave those off. Tons of tomatoes on my salad, the squash puree (supposed to be soup) was pretty awful (basically baby food with a little salt and black pepper) and it used to be very good, and a few stale/hard end pieces of bread, all for the thrifty price of $17. Now, I will say this, I absolutely will support local businesses and will pay whatever they believe their food is worth with no complaint, so long as the quality measures up. This did not. I truly hope 219 is just "working out the kinks" and they will get back to their once great reputation. I also have seen the owners defensive and sarcastic responses to people so before you take this the wrong way, please know...I am hoping for the best for your restaurant and I hope this only helps you improve. Also, bring back Craig.
I had the Turkey, bacon, guac wrap, but substituted the wrap for a croissant and it was amazing! My daughter had a turkey sandwich with jalapenos and loved it!

Delicious! My nephew took us here on a break from his classes and it did not disappoint! The food was incredible and the service, impeccable. No wonder this is a local favorite.

My husband and I had lunch at 219 and it was THE BEST! The honey garlic chicken wrap was AMAZING and the Chicken Thai wrap was my husband’s favorite! And the gumbo…..???
