This place has gone in the pits since the original owners sold it to the new people. I've been going here for over 13 years, and noticed that it was going downhill. My last visit was my last. It's no longer authentic chinese food, they brought our check with our drinks, we had to ask for refills, the price was ridiculous for the quality of food, and it was the worst tasting Chinese food I've ever had. That's crushing after being a regular customer for SOOOO long. I complained on their Facebook page after my last experience. They deleted my comment. I gave them a few months to recalibrate. They have a sponsored ad on Facebook that popped up I'm my newsfeed today, and the price has gone down. People were commenting, so I was hoping they've made a turnaround. I commented and asked if they've changed cooks, and outlined my previous experience... hoping for an answer and another try today (11/27/22). They deleted my comment. I guess they're to a point where they want no constructive feedback or criticism on the customers experiences... so I'm here. They can't delete google. Save yourself the disappointment and drive a few miles across the bay and go to Dragon City. Shame on you China Doll... the recent google reviews are still the same. At this rate, I'll give you 6 months before you fold.

We have eaten at China Doll for years. I use to meet my friends there for lunch when I worked in the area and we all loved it!! My husband and I continued to eat there whenever we were down that way. The last 2 times we dined there, the food was awful!! I don't know who owns it now, but unless something changes, they won't be winning anymore Nappies!! In fact, I think they need to take down all the ones they have previously won!! I hope they can get back to the good food it use to have!!

They focus mainly on buffet which is sold by pound. Food was good, hot, fresh plentiful. I got it to go. Yummy, I'll be returning. Why order entrees when you can get good selection to eat.Vegetarian options: Yes lotsParking: In large strip center that is only half rented so lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Yes,Dietary restrictions: Yes

Do not waste your time or money!! I have loved this restaurant for years, but sadly the new owner doesn’t make good food or run a good business. We ordered delivery and didn’t get all of our food. What we did get tasted terrible! We called and they told us they didn’t know how to get our missing food delivered, and when we offered to come get it they said the kitchen was closed (at 8pm…30 minutes before their advertised closing time).

Rice hard food just very cold. I been ordering and eating from this place for years it’s not the same. This new management is not going good. The old ones need to come back because these guys are losing money like crazy there. Nobody wants to go back here anymore

Something happened to this restaurant within the past year. They must have changed ownership. The food was cold and not very flavorful. The price for the buffet was 17 dollars for lunch. I do not recommend this place.

The one star is simply because the service was good. But the food wasn't worth $19.74. We almost died when we checked out. The buffet had alot of things we didn't recognize. The flavor was bland and the fried rice had a weird taste to it. We will not go back. Definitely not worth what we were charged.

I use 1 star sparingly to accurately describe a problem, disjunct, etc. This is one of those times that 1 star fits.I used to LOVE China Doll when Christine owned it. The staff were friendly, courteous and prompt, and the food was ALWAYS exceptional. Now, since Christine sold it and it's run by new management and staff, it is AWFUL. Nothing-- and I do mean nothing-- tastes the same anymore. The sauces are thin and boring, the quality of proteins aren't great, the flavor of the rices and noodles is suffering. Everything tastes oily and like it's been frozen. The spring rolls and egg rolls MUST be frozen as they taste awful and are soggy. It is evident this restaurant is now run and managed by someone (or multiple people) that are absent and clueless. The only thing that remains the same so far are the crispy fried noodles for the soups...This is truly, truly sad.

Don’t eat here. Sadly, it used to be the best Chinese buffet in town, with multiple Nappies over several years; for more than 15 years we used to visit often and also bring out-of-town guests here. Now, since the change in ownership, covid, and severe cut in staff, it has gone way downhill. Today the hot and sour soup looked more like limp soy sauce, and the service was way understaffed, and yet the check was more than $20 per person, for a barely edible lunch… but the last straw was the undercooked rice. SERIOUSLY: What kind of Asian place messes up rice?! It’s over. Losing this place was like losing an old friend; so sad.

They were great prior to the government shutdowns of 2020, but prices have gone up and food quality has plummeted. We paid $20 a person after tax and the food was stale, cold, and dried up last month when we went. I don't think we'll be back again.

Since the new owners took over, the quality has been in a downward spiral. Today will be my last visit to this establishment sadly. They are nothing like the original owners. The price has increased but the food leaves a film in your mouth. Today, there was no soups, the chicken was raw, and the power continuously flickered while we ate. Sad they had a gold mine and let it go to waste. Also, there were very few drink choices. I hope that no one else spends $20 for this.

Eat here once a month at least. Food is really good and improving every time I go. Very reasonably priced for the world we live in, let’s go Brandon. Wait staff and management always hospitable and friendly.

Very mediocre. Never seen as much sauces on dishes. Detracted from the taste of the dish. Buffet had large selection. Won't repeat but didn't hate it

I was disappointed in the lunch buffet but it was the service that caused me to write this review. I took my 4 year old daughter and when I finally got our drinks after sitting myself and getting our own silverware the waiter didn't put the lid on the kids cup completely so she spilled it all over herself. Then when I asked where the bathroom was because a kid has to go right then our drinks and plates were gone and had to fix another and finish our meal without a drink because he never came to check on us after I waved him down to ask about the bathroom. To top it off somehow in the 2 minutes we were in restroom the ice cream machine broke and was out of order. $17 for my buffet and $9 for hers don't waste your money the food was mediocre and the service is terrible I won't be going back even if it was free.

First, when new ownership takes over they should delete all of the old reviews. From the stale soft drinks to the melted ice cream to the rubber squid this is the worst Chinese restaurant my wife and I have ever been to. And they charge like a fine dining restaurant. Far too expensive for the quality. Don’t waste your time on this place.
