Stopped by to visit our son and wanted to see how the food was. For the two of us it was just a tad over $12, but that wasn’t the best part. It’s AYCE and offered plenty of variety…including endless chocolate milk!!?This is NOT your typical cafeteria fare either. While the standard burger, hot dog and pizza offerings are available there is so much more. As a freshman, the dining hall is great if you have no money and need some quick food, and that's about it. The food is almost inedible at times, the staff, with the except of maybe 2 or 3, are rude and cold, and don't really care if you make a special request. And there are ALWAYS flies. No matter where you eat in there, you will always have a fly buzzing around your plate, and they've been there so long, even if you swat them away, they are unfazed. I don’t care what anyone says, the caf food is good. The people who complain about it have never had Mobile County Public School food. I like they’re vegan/vegetarian options. The vegans options are always tasty and flavorful, unlike a lot of vegan food out there. The only that gets is that the staff is BEYOND lazy.
