A good spot if you are looking for a good soul food restaurant in the Montgomery area. We stopped by here when we were visiting all the black history sites in Montgomery and was very impressed with the food at this establishment. I got bacon Mac and cheese, mango chicken, yams, flounder, hush puppies, and a dinner roll. Everything was delicious with no complaints and I recommend stopping here for something to eat.Parking: Parking was difficult because there was not a ton of spaces for how many people was there if you park in the lot next to the building with the bus stop. There is street parking next to the bus stop parking lot and a much larger parking lot on N Perry ST and N Court ST.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for people in wheelchairs to roll up on the side of the building closer to the bus stop.

More staff is definitely needed to accommodate crowds. If I didn't want veggies, I would've left.

The atmosphere is amazing, relaxing, and beautiful. It is the perfect environment for a great dinner or lunch. However, the food is horrible. The only reason why I know the turnip greens didn’t come from a can is because of all the dirt that was in them. This is constructive criticism because I love coming to this restaurant, but the quality of the food HAS TO IMPROVE.

This rating is purely based on the service experience. Ordered online, there was an issue with the app apparently. So this phenomenal young man at front was doing a great job managing how busy it was and my issue. He attempted to get the manager TWICE and the manager refused to come to the front. I am sure I will get a response on this review saying they were busy but I was there, I saw it and they just didn’t want to deal with me while their front line employees were swamped. The young man absolutely did the manager’s job for them and juggled the line and ensuring we got the app and order to work. Which was sad that he had to cover for them. Leadership leads from the front and I didn’t see that happen unfortunately. I appreciate the outstanding customer service from those serving the food - 5 stars for them! The young man handled the situation the way I would have imagined the manager would, which is to assist with my issue. Instead of saying they were busy - and to just email the company…as a customer that is there picking up the order!! 10 stars to the young man for taking the time during the business to help me out. I implore management to show leadership in the future.

I was excited to visit this restaurant based on the reviews I read. When I arrived for Saturday lunch It was clear that they were understaffed. The line went back to the door. I asked the counter lady if they have fried fish today and she rudely replied "No, we have baked tilapia". There were only three protein chooses, tilapia, baked or fried chicken. I chose fried chicken, Mac and cheese and steamed broccoli. The ice machine was broken so I couldn't enjoy iced tea .Please note that the cashier was very nice and professional, but he was the only cashier serving a packed house . It took 10 minutes to pay. No food trays so I had to juggle my food, drink , napkins etc. The food: the smallest thigh and leg I have ever been served in a restaurant, mac and cheese was good broccoli was overcooked and under seasoned. And they were not offering bread with the meal ! You only got bread if you asked for it !! Come on Pannie-George you can do better...After reading the owner's response to my honest review I understand why customer service is non existent. She makes excuses and lies. Her staff told me that the ice machine was broken and there were out of order signs on the machines. Her staff told me that you have to ask for bread. If you are open for 2 hours or 8 hours trays should be available for your customer's convenience.

We enjoy our delicious soul food lunch at Pannie-George's. This beautiful cafe open just a few years back at this location. It's connected to the Legacy Museum. The setup is cafeteria style, you get to select from different meats and sides. Everything I tried was quite flavorful. The greens were so good, I didn't even add hot sauce. Black eyed peas were tender, cornbread was great and of course the chicken was fantastic. We experienced pleasant service from the serving staff and the hostess at the register. The ambiance was nice. We dined on a Sunday afternoon, lots of college students, church folks, locals and tourists dined on this day. One thing I can say is people walked out with smiling faces. We walked it off, right after... walked into the Legacy Museum for an incredible history lesson.

OMG! I wasn’t very hungry so I got the vegetable plate (your choice of veggies). After taking the first bite of greens, I wished I would have gotten the whole plate of just greens. They are truly a delight to your tastebuds. The Mac and cheese and black eyed peas were also delicious. Love love love this place and the staff (Stanley).

The lady that was taking our orders was hesitant, when wehad questions about the food. They had ha with gra. I didn’t enjoy myself at all.but nothing to go with it like rice or mashed potatoes. The fried chicken looked as if it had been setting there and dry. Well I ordered the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and collard greens. There was a gentleman that rung us up and he was very nice, I expressed to him that my chicken didn’t look fresh and he offered to cook me some fresh chicken but I was on my lunch break and didn’t have time to wait. This was my first and last visit

Customers service wasn't the best. The spaghetti looked so dry.The chicken was hard. People really don't know what good cooking is.People love getting the money. But the soul food is not soul food anymore.I was not impressed by the food that was on the hot bar.Put love in your food when you cook it.There was no love.
