Food was delicious.. I make chicken and dumplings at home and I really am excited I found a place that makes really good dumplings. Also got rice and gravy and cabbage with a banana pudding. Rice and gravy is always delicious too me haven’t met a person who couldn’t make it . But the star of the show.. THAT DELICIOUS BANANA PUDDING. Thank you whoever made that it reminded me of my grandma who’s been gone for sometime. Boy oh boy I’ll be back and I’m gonna try something else.

Great quick lunch spot. Had the fries catfish with sweet potatoes, rice w/gravy, cornbread, and strawberry shortcake. The catfish was well seasoned and tender and cooked well. The sweet potatoes were really good, maybe a little sweet for a lunch side and more of a dessert. The rice and gravy was good but a little underseasoned, nothing some S&P and hot sauce didn't fix. The shortcake wasn't bad, but it was a little basic to be put on a menu. All around I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, the staff were very nice and polite, and the food came out very fast.

I took a multi year hiatus for no particular reason and returned to Peyton's Place in March 2023. I have eaten at Peyton's Place for lunch twice in the last 30 days. The first time I got the country fried steak and vegetables. The veggies were solid. The country fried steak was mostly breading--not much there. I would recommend trying another meat option. The second time I had a Reuben sandwich at the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, I've had much better Reubens elsewhere so I was a little disappointed. The service is always top notch and the wait staff is friendly.
