This place is really good, but I’m a pescatarian and this restaurant advertises on a big seafood selection and that’s not true. Locally caught grouper and red snapper is not a big deal. What I enjoyed was good off the appetizer menu, but the fish choices was 2nd class.

My husband and I went to Vintage Year last night for dinner and we were very disappointed! This was one of my favorite places to eat in Montgomery but after last night we may not return. We had dinner reservations for 8:00. Our server promptly took our order and brought out our salad but after that we waited for over an hour for our entree to be served. There was a large party that took priority over all other guests. My steak was ok but my brussels sprouts were undercooked and the mac and cheese cold. It was like they just slapped the food together to get it out to us.

29 Feb 2024: Another amazing dinner with our friends at VY. I had the Pekin duck breast with Madeira brazed mushrooms, simply outstanding. Impeccable service as well and s strawberry cheesecake to die for!31 March 2022 update: We just came back again after a over a year avoiding restaurants bc of COVID - as great as ever! We sat on the patio, enjoyed live music, and had an amazing dinner! We started with fresh oysters and cocktails, proceeded to the catch of the day #alabamaseafood and enjoyed a bottle of Rosé, together with our two friends who also had an awesome experience with fish selections, redfish and grouper - super fresh and delicious!Kudos to Sara - she kept our group well-served with bevs and even got the bar to serve a nice louched absinthe on request. Also so nice to see AJ is still there and him saying hi, was a nice treat!2020: Just had an amazing take out dinner for 4 for $50 from Vintage Year(prime rib for 4, salad, and dessert=dinner and lunch for us), Please support our awesome restaurants and their families during these times!Check out their coronavirus takeout menu. By the way, I have no steak (lol) in this company, just a great restaurant with a great staff and I don't want to see them go under.

Had reservation on a Friday night. 6pm. Seated quickly by a super friendly hostess. Service was great from start to finish; the hostess even walked me to where the restrooms were instead of just telling me. Husband and I had the wagyu steak and the duck; both entrees were delicious. We also had a side of brussel sprouts that were perfect. Server suggested sauces that went well with entrees and answered our questions. One note; the orange marmalade sauce he suggested, and I got with my duck was way too much flavor. My first bite and the sauce was all I tasted. So the first bite of sauce was the last....I got duck because I like duck. This would've been a 4 star review easily but......the ambiance. The restaurant is not big but the tables situated nicely so you could have a nice date night here. Unfortunately there is a bar on the end with several stools and two televisions (at least - I couldn't see to the end of it). It was LOUD in there. Typical bar noises, shouts and laughter that weren't out of line at all....they just took what could've been a lovely quiet dinner and made that impossible. I was expecting the Vintage Year to be that wonderful special place for a nice dinner out and was really disappointed with that part. EDIT: So in the reply below the suggestion is that I dine in the dining room. Ok; when I arrived I wasn't asked or given a choice of where to sit. That's where my husband and I were seated. First time there; how would I have known to ask? And I didn't suggest anyone could control the noise; in fact I said it was normal bar noise. No issue with that other than the fact I was having a $100+ meal sitting next to a bar.

Superb. Bring $100 per person. Yous will not be disappointed. It's very high butt you get what you pay for.

I ordered a VY Classic Burger on Tuesday, Burger Night. It was for takeout & the price on Burger Night is $16 for the Classic. I was charged $18 & with tax it came to $19.80.When I asked the woman at the front desk if that price was correct, she assured it was. When I checked my email & the receipt, I saw I was charged $18, not $16.This is not ok.

The first great dining experience of 2024! If you find yourself in Montgomery - this is a must "eat" Chef is off the hook talented and this family operated restaurant (and it's 5 sister restaurants) will make for great dining experiences every trip.

Totally disappointed after eating at The Vintage Year on Dec 1, 2023. We were looking forward to a good dining experience with family. The quality of our meal was subpar. My husband ordered the filet mignon and was served the tail - overcooked and dry. The Crispy smashed red potatoes were dry and tasteless. I had the Gulf Red Snapper which was overcooked and dry. The kale had huge tough, bitter stems. We saw the bartender taste a drink - very unprofessional. Very disappointed in this meal and experience.

My husband booked my birthday dinner in the big city!We came from Ft Novosel to Christmas shop and have a nice dinner! It was really nice! We miss good restaurants! We cook really well ourselves but it's hard to find certain things in our "local" grocery commissary and in Enterprise. We decided on small plates and a couple of sides. My husband had the tuna which had an herb seasoning crust with a nice aioli sauce and salad. We enjoyed it! Fresh Tuna is hard to come by in Enterprise or Ozark! We miss making our mango tuna spicy ball lol. I chose the quail! At home in Texas I'd hunt plenty! Oh it was so nice to have that again with MOLE sauce! Everyone makes that sauce different but it was pretty good! Mild but probably best for the area. The 2 sides We chose were the mushrooms and brussel sprouts. I liked the mushrooms best and my husband the brussels. Now the service was WONDERFUL! GOD BLESS THE SERVER! I ASKED SO MANY QUESTIONS! SHE WAS AMAZING! I forgot her name but she had a cute little baby bump. She was so helpful and knowledgeable about the wine I chose to the whole menu and dessert! We opted not to get a dessert but had we not been so full it would have been the creme brulee. This place was only 90 minutes from home so I'm sure we will come again. I definitely want too! I really miss great food like this! We will be back! Oh and once in awhile we'd hear the chef or cooks! All that is a great sign of a wonderful team! We LOVED HEARING THAT!

The atmosphere was nice, the restaurant has a modern look and they were playing Christmas music around the holidays. We specifically picked this place due to all of the great reviews and an awesome looking menu, but were unfortunately very disappointed. The service was super slow, it was almost an hour before we got any food and the drinks took over 30 minutes. Then once the food did arrive the green beans were cold, the steak was undercooked, and the Parmesan gnocchi soup was just bad. Maybe we just went on an off night.
