The food was good: biscuit was buttery and gravy was the right consistency with a hint of small bite sausages. Eggs was over easy just the way I like it. The grits, however, was a downer as it was way too salty; could have beeb too much salted butter. The server was very friendly and attentive.

I came on my lunch break and waited patiently while the cashier overlooked me and taking my order to cash out customers that came in line after I was already at the counter to order. My time was not valued as a paying customer and the perception I got was discriminatory and upsetting as I have came there several times in the past to eat needless to say I won't be patronizing them anytime soon.

I ordered a wing meal with fries and a side of fried okra. They charged my card for the total amount. Came back a few minutes later and stated that they were out of the sauce for the wings as well as the fried okra. (This should have been stated before the customers card has been charged). At first I said just refund me but I then decided to just substitute the wing sauce and okra with jalp cornbread. When my coworker came back with my food the plate was missing the fries and had 5 hard cornbread muffins. I normally don't complain but by this time I am was highly annoyed with Yellow Hammer so I called to speak with the manager and she had every explanation in the book. So this is the last time I will spend my money at this particular location. I normally eat here twice a week but i'm DONE!!!!

Hard to find as no sign on building but GPS took us there. Was seated right away and was greeted with very friendly waitress. Food selection was good and overall service was good. Some menu items not available either. Place got pretty busy pretty fast. Worth trying again.

Yellow Hammer Cafe is kind of a hidden treasure. It is very popular with folks at Maxwell AFB as well as the surrounding community. There are usually 3 meat options and lots of veggies. You may select a meat and as many veggies as you desire for various prices. In addition, there is a menu that can be ordered from. The Club Sandwich is delicious. The Hamburger Steak is really good as well. The Chicken Casserole is delicious and the veggies are always fresh and tasty. Huge glasses of tea and sodas. Come hungry as the portions are generous. Service is excellent and very fast.
