Good food and service. Great treat for our grandson. Outdoor dining available.

My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday, just before they closed. We were rushing because we didn't want to keep them, but they didn't seem to mind. The food was very good, and the service was worth bragging about. Tracy, and the other ladies behind the counter, were extremely nice and we enjoyed talking with them. This is what they mean by Southern Hospitality!

This place was BEYOND delicious. Will quickly become a staple for every visit. Great diner atmosphere, and they had great customer service!

Gus's has been around in Birmingham area for 75 years, so you can trust that they've got hot dogs pretty well figured out at this point. The hot dogs are fantastic and come with everything you could need already on them: mustard, onions, sauerkraut, and Gus's sauce. The hot dogs are on the smaller side, though, so I recommend getting three if you're hungry. There's plenty of other menu options besides hot dogs, and a breakfast menu as well. The ICEE machine here definitely deserves a mention too. The restaurant interior is quaint and cozy, though there isn't much room for physical distancing from other customers. The staff were kind, courteous, and all wearing masks properly, and my order was ready within a few minutes. The hot dogs were wrapped in aluminum foil and served in a paper bag, so all of my trash was easily recyclable. I'm sure to be back again if I can get there before the 4pm closing time.

Gus’s Hot Dogs is a Crestline Classic. Not only do they have great customer service, but phenomenal food that makes you feel at a local diner. I suggest you go before noon and get a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit(they are sincerely the best you will ever have, I’ve been here for years and they’ve only messed it up once or twice). Obviously there is room for human error but they are nice people and happy to help. Anyone that dislikes Gus’s is either a competitor or stupid. Also Jay Carter’s review on this place is beyond parody, he’s obviously pusillanimous and can’t handle himself, sorry you’re so weak bro hit the gym.

Not just great food... great service. Wonderful dogs. I had the triumvirate of dogs... A Gus, a chili and a special. Can't pick a favorite or a best of show. Hot and fully dressed. The chili was hearty and had a little spark, the special was meaty with well rounded flavors. The whole place was spotless. A friendly police officer watched me as I left and probably wondered why I waddled out. No, on second thought, he knew. Will go on my lunch location routine.
