We drove over an hour to try this place out. Absolutely everything was well worth the drive! The beignets, country gravy and biscuits, chocolate gravy and biscuits, loaded French toast, everything was incredible! So worth it and we’ll definitely be making a trip back!

Great casual place for good food. The Mac and cheese is amazing, but the portions seem to be shrinking on the loaded fries. Check before you leave that you have everything!Vegetarian options: The Mac and Cheese is amazing and with slaw you have a complete meal!

Delicious breakfast on Saturday. Would recommend the link sausage egg and cheese biscuit, biscuits and chocolate gravy, and coffee. Beignets were so-so.

Last year we decided to order Thanksgiving dinner instead of preparing one. With a good amount of trepidation the search began. It was more offerings than I would've thought. We went to the ones we were not familiar with and tried their main day to day fare. Long story shorter, we went with Ole Hickory instead of more main, 'Main St' offerings. We now have a new tradition. It was great, the food and the service. This was food made with care and dare I say love. This is not warmed up, out of the can/pouch/boxed food. Turns out, found the right restaurant, no more trepidation, no more looking. Worth the drive, and for the quality and service worth every penny. Thank you Ole Hickory.

We ordered a turkey for Thanksgiving from Ole Hickory this year and it was WONDERFUL!! Pick up process was quick and simple. Easy re-heat instructions, too. It was tender and had a fabulous smoked flavor!!! It will be a new tradition for us! Thank you, Ole Hickory!

This place was so much fun! I knew it would be when I saw a weighted bag and pulley system rigged to return the front door to shut. Smiles were plentiful from the staff and the decor was vibrant. There was an energy that was palpable. The sides were excellent and the meat was good but needed sauce, of which they had more than a few varieties. The real star is the desserts! We tried four different ones and were so excited about it that I failed to take pictures. The coconut pie is the best I've ever had. The pecan and peanut butter chocolate chip were also amazing, as was the banana pudding. Each dessert we had was baked, rich, and loaded with flavor. Do not leave without getting dessert, even if that means getting a smaller meal. They're delicious!

Ole Hickory BBQ, a hidden gem not too close to home, but the journey is worth every mile. My family's always enjoyed the brisket and ribs—it's a taste of tradition done right. Now, what sets them apart? It's not just about the amazing menu and staff. Ole Hickory BBQ is all about giving back to the community. I'm a player on the Madison County Tennis Team, and they always support us. Every year, they give back and donate to help our team grow. Hats off to the staff and owners for being champions in our community. Ole Hickory BBQ, you've earned your stripes!

Went for breakfast and got a breakfast bowl. The food had absolutely no flavor, utensils and bowls were all disposable. They charged for a cup of water, coffee was very bad and I'm not picky. The atmosphere was that of a prison. I suggest revamping this restaurant and it wouldn't take much to make it go far. Employees need to great customers, get silverware, plates and cups so it feels more like a restaurant and less like a prison. Don't charge for water that's just screaming your cheap and comes off as unwelcoming. The coffee should be made by people that at least drink coffee and not a watered down gas station coffee. Please use seasoning, any at all and it will make a huge difference.

Stopped in after seeing an almost full looking parking area. The bbq was just okay for my taste. I am not saying it was bad by any means, just a little mild for me. The baked beans had a good flavor. It is worth a stop if you are out this way.
