The food here is extremely hard to beat! My husband and I are just crazy about Chinese food period. But this food was off the charts amazing. While it was expensive, we ate on the food for 2 days. So it was well worth the money. Also, the woman who worked in the restaurant was extremely polite. And our order was ready as soon as we walked in. Everything was hot and tasted amazing!! We are lucky that we live not too far away from here. Because we will def be eating here again very soon! This place should get more than 5 stars. And I would be happy to give it to them.

China No. 1 was recommended by a friend and we've eaten here a few times. Each visit has been better than the last. The same lady is always there and she is super nice - always remembers us and our order, asks how we are doing, etc. The food ks always prepared quickly and consistently. The restaurant definitely has a family owned and operated feel, which is nice. A hidden gem in my opinion.

On a road trip with my sister and she had a cravin' for Chinese. Found this restaurant in a shopping mall (ESSEX SQUARE Marketpkace) driving through Northport, Alabama. We went in at 1 PM on a Saturday. There was no one eating in. There were several takeout orders while we were there. The server was friendly and very efficient. Service was fast. For an appetizer, we tried the Crab Rangoons. They were delicious. Then we both got Hot and Sour Soup. It lived up to the hot part (heat wise). It was so hot that it was still warm even after we had almost finished with our entrées. My sister got the Moo Goo Gai Pan and I got General Tao's Chicken. Both lunch specials came with an eggroll and pork fried rice. The fried rice was especially good. The portions were generous and the food was good. This is a small shop with several tables inside. Definitely give it a try if you are in this area.

The food came out quick and was good! The woman at the counter was very kind. I spilled my hot and sour soup in my lap and she rushed over to help us clean up and make sure I was ok. Then she brought more soup for us. She was very kind.

After visiting a competitor and was told they had no time for me and my money, I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of order and timely delivery of my delicious piping hot food. Would wholeheartedly recommend compared to the rudeness I received down the street from LL. Will definitely come back!! Well done Number 1!
